Strain Hunters (formerly 420, Dutch Flowers)
Somebody put me onto that Zenith and I wasn't dissapointed, I must admit I've never really had any problem with Dutch Flowers, I did get the 'guy' on bad day once when I'd ordered my weed and asked for a couple of beers I was told to order at the bar so I took 2 steps to my left and ordered my beers from the same guy, I just laughed at him.
If i knew that this is why they used these bags i could have understood. Good idea really. Also i meant to say the strain i had choosen was shit sorryPuffin13 wrote:I remember those waxed paper bags. The weed was shit and i felt i had been scammed so have never been back. Shame coz i loved the location and its a part of town i always hang around when visiting.
I will give it another try soon and see if it has improved. They used them because the crystals on your bud would not stick to the inside of the bag; as they do with plastic. Not all of their weed selection was "shit". Yes, they had some lower quality weed but the real gem they had was Zenith; rock hard nugs and a terrific stone. They may still have it. I haven't been back there in at least a year.
They do have an excellent location and a terrific view if you can get the front table inside or a table outside. For me, I really like Dutch Flowers.
Peace.
I will deffo grab some of this Zenith next time i am in town.
Nice1
Oh and i did choose like it in the poll as the location is excellent.
Dolphins also uses the wax bags.Kermit wrote:If i knew that this is why they used these bags i could have understood. Good idea really.Puffin13 wrote:I remember those waxed paper bags. I like this place - but for a totally different reason.
This was back in Nov.2008
I didnt buy any weed there, just a drink - got a window seat with a friend, had a joint of something from somewhere else, then decided to leave.
It was cold outside - went to reach in my back pockets for my leather gloves and found only one. Started to panic - they were an early XMAS present from my girlfriend and I'd just lost one. (She told me I would). But to my surprise - there's like a house right next to Dutch Flowers, with few steps leading up to the front door with a hand rail. Some local must have found my glove on the floor and picked it up and left it on the handrail in an easy space to spot.
This would never happen in London - and this is why I like Dutch Flowers... not much of a reason to you maybe? But for me, a nice touch!
