As far as I know it's been there for years, I'm pretty sure when Andy/Soulrider (where is he?) moved over there he actually started out living above it.
Yeh thats the one he did live above, and i saw him in Basjoes (wed)but he was entertaining a couple and i did not want to be rude.

The ribs at favorite fried chicken are just the way I like em. IMHO they are the best ribs around. The chicken is also decent and it is the cheapest eat in meal you will find in the area.
In term of fried chicken I'd rank it below KFC although as I opined above I think the ribs are top notch.

If you like ribs give Cafe de Klos a go.

Cafe de Klos looks like it's really close to the Dolphins. Perhaps a nice blaze at the Dolphins followed by some ribs is in order. :D

I am so looking forward to KFC when i go, it's strange but because Belgium is completely odd they have no KFC and sometimes it's all i want.
You can recommend all the other places which i am sure are great but it's just not the same as the colenels.

Every single country I've visited and ate KFC, the chicken tastes so different!

I used to eat buckets of the stuff here in the UK until I took a trip to the States and ended up staying in a motel with a KFC drivethru directly opposite... It was an epiphany! Since then, I rarely touch KFC back home, preferring the "other" privateers and smaller chains, but mainly depending on the taste and quality of the food rather than the "name" itself.

KFC in Amsterdam isn't too bad, but try some of the smaller ones as well - the one at the top of OZV, over the gracht from the Febo, which is the Favorite Fried Chicken mentioned earlier, is supposed to be quite good...

HighlyBlessed from coffeeshop Bagheera recommended this place. Out of curiousity, or more specifically, out of a need to confirm my belief that it can't possibly be any better than Harold's Chicken Shack back home, I plan on stopping by this upcoming trip.

Does anyone know how late it stays open?

Checked out Planet Rose just off Kinkerstraat on Wednesday just gone, another poster mentioned it here previously. Wicked, if a bit pricey. Brought a jerk chicken, rice & peas, two saltfish fritters and Guinness punch went down very nicely. Definitely coming back here when I'm back here again later in the year.
