Better of buying a standard top spec lappy.

i totally understand your sentiment there kermit but somehow apple has seemingly always been able to maintain a good enough (profitable) market share while sustaining these high prices...i say this as i type away on my overpriced G5. but hey, they make cool shit 8) :wink: 8)

Haha I wasn't sure but it didn't occur to me that sentence prediction requires a crystal ball! :lol:

I bought myself a Christmas present of a Lenovo ( IBM ) S10 IdeaPad netbook.
I went with the smaller 80 gig HD, it is all I need for installed programs.
I did make up the difference with a 500 gig USB powered HD for data.
It has been a sweet little machine. At 2.5 pounds my old bones don't mind carrying it around.
