Any Park & Ride Experiences..

Looks like we're renting a car to get from Eindhoven to A'dam next week, and the cheapest option to park the motor is the city's Park & Ride scheme.

Has anybody used it in the past?

There are a few car park choices. At the moment I'm planning to go with the Olympic Stadium one, as I'd quite like to see that anyhow.

With the €6/24hr price you get two free public transport tickets, which is handy, but there are four of us travelling, so two will need to pay to get from Stadium to Centrum anyway.. even so, with the cost of petrol and everything taken into account, this is working out 10-15€ cheaper than the AirExpressBus from Eindhoven airport.. plus we get to stop in at Grasshopper to grab some bud for the journey!

If you are used to driving in Europe and can read the signs, you will be fine. There is always plenty of space at that P&R and the metro is simple to get into town with. Be sure to get on the one with the Centraal sign otherwise you end up in Sloterdijk which also has a P&R.

Didn't end up doing this as you can't rent a car without a credit card, and none of my party has one.
