I dont even give them a second glance. Thats why i did not know which one it was even though there was a canal in the pic
Although i have had a very nice breakfast from the palace on the Leiseplein but never went in. Sat outside with waitress bringing orders and collecting cash. Nice and a decent english cuppa.

Bulldog serve a purpose imo, I watched the Man/Liverpool champions league final drinking a few Heinys and smoking lots of spliffs last year in the Leidseplein one, I wouldn't buy any weed from them though.

I sometimes watch a game down @ the leidseplein one & sink 2/3 beers,& Its a nice walk or tramride back to the dam last thing @ night from there.

Ditto. Same as the grasshopper,shit weed expensive pints but nice terrace to sit on and watch the world go by on a sunny evening....

if you really dont know it:
mellow yellow is supposed to be the first coffeeshop in amsterdam (some say MY, some say it was Rusland....) and the Bulldog chain says they were the first after them.

Rusland was the first to be issued an official license, Bulldog claim they were the first coffeeshop to sell (which I think is bullshit) but Mellow Yellow seems to be that shop but it was in a differant location.
