Would you Grow if licences were granted easily?

Hailing from the UK - London. I was just thinking - and if in the near future - the govt granted licenses for users to grow their own herb, would you do it?

I'm not naive enough to think that details wouldnt be kept and grows wouldnt be monitored (proving personal consumption) - ofcourse they would, but say the procedure was similiar to something like this:

You apply to the home office for a form - they send it out.

You take the form to a Dr (GP) where he makes you do a urine or blood sample so you can prove your usage (dependency).

Form filled out - The Dr (GP) then signs and stamps it. And sends it off to the home office or whomever will make the decision to grant a licence.

Once decision is granted in favour of applicant - licence is granted and applicant can grow, say, 4 plant in a home setting with adequate ventilation, and odour control management as well as health and safety quotas and guidelines adhered to.

Official checks made by Home Office personnel to your residency once every 3 months to prove you are adhering to the rules and not growing excessively cheeky amounts?

Question is would you do it?

I think the Tories might consider it for personal/medical use, Cameron seems to want to do anything to get enough votes to win an election, only problem would be the number of plants, I could quite happily keep 4 mothers just for starters.

cameron is a "yes" man, true! But with people like Boris as Mayor of London (he must be a toker, come on guys), you gotta beleive it's at least possible - in our lifetimes!

Way dude... they've already started to introduce marijuana based medicines (sativex) in some parts of the world. I think even here in the UK if I'm correct - yes it is only available on prescription for MS patients etc - but if the govt can recognize that cannabis is not the "evil weed which will plunge society into degeration" and prove it by taking small but steady steps (like making sativex available on prescription) I can feel confident that the gates are open, if only partially on latch (metaphor)

I would not vote for the Tories even if there pledged legalisation. Like Kermit says dont trust politicens.
