I've grown out a lot of seeds from DP in the past... but have no standard by which to measure them... I've tried looking for DP strains in the dam but no joy there.
I select the strains I grow by smoking them first - then getting the genetics from the seedbanks. But since I started growing DP strains - i've never ever smoked one anywhere - but the ones I grew myself.
If you know where I can find their strains in coffeeshops - post here.
Strain I'm reallly ionterested in is the Jorge's Diamionds no.1
Peace

the things you can buy from a shop usually are grown with clones, so you will hardly find any original strain of any seedbank.

plus dutch passion's big name varieties are not made by them.. they generally rip them off of another hard working breeder. they also generally higher small time independent growers to do there breeding.
sorry if i always seem to be ripping on DP and there seeds, but i have had very bad experiences with there seeds before, and i have grown out many strains and seed companies seeds over the last 6 years of growing. in my experience you will get a better end product from many of the other seed breeders.
if its feminized your after.. many others have great feminized seeds to try out... and if its good strains in general.. well others kick the shit outta DP's seeds anytime.
but back to your question.. you will find some of the more popular varieties that dutch passion has in some shops .. such as
skunk
orange bud
master kush
super haze
isis
white widow
blueberry
power plant
all of those you will find in amsterdam.. as to which shop i have not been to amsterdam recent enough to comment on what shops are carrying what strains. but i assure you, you should be able to find most of them in amsterdam during your stay, without looking to hard.
but back to what i was saying... as the strains you will try in amsterdam, may not be anything like the DP strain of the same name. as dutch passion has ripped off another breeders strain and made there own with it.. the chances of the coffeeshop getting the strain and phentotype they have kept from dutch passion seeds is very slim. as they prolly got it from the original breeder or a clone from the seed company that originally produced it.
do some research on DP and you will see why many are not such big fans of there seeds.. i havent tried any of there new strains, so if they have picked up there game recently then good for them..
hope you find what your looking for.
and just off the cuff, not sure if you care or not, but some other reputable seed breeders are
DJ Short - breeder of Flo, Blueberry and a few other fantastic varieties. you will be impressed by his gear, worth every penny. i have grown out every strain by him and not 1 was disapointing
Mr Nice - breeder of SSH - shantibaba is great breeder and he has some good gear
Spice of Life - breeder of sweet tooth... some good seeds from them to be had
Legends - breeder of legends ultimate indica.. some bomb fuckin smoke
Resevoir Seeds- breeder of sour diesel IBL and some others.. i was impressed with the sd ibl i grew out from him and a few others
anyway those are just some of my suggestions.. i have found many good seeds from most companies... even from the big names like sensi seeds.. there hashplant was very nice as well as the g13 hashplant... stear clear of the shiva skunk.. not very good.

IMO, DP's Powerplant is a fairly consistent grow and not a bad smoke. Same with their Orange bud.

I've always had trouble with DP's genetics... (hermie probs) - So, it's not only me who experiences this shite problem.
I'm hoping they have picked up their game tho - paid too much for the Jorge's Diamonds... Not happy. They better be worth it.
Thanks for your help dudes...

i don't know which coffeeshop sells weed from dutch passion seeds but i have to say that i've been very content with most of their strains. it is true that their feminized seeds tend to become hermaphrodites but in my experience, that's a problem with feminized seeds in general. i had the same problems with the feminized seeds of greenhouse seeds and paradise seeds, for example. but if you keep the plants away from stress (keep it absolutely dark when it should be dark,...), they will be 99% female most of the time.
i don't know about the rip-off thing, but i've heard these rumours about a lot of seed producers. nirvana seeds for example is supposed to have riped-off most of theirs seeds from other producers but i still like most of their strains. or mr. nice seeds, of which the guys from greenhouse say that they have stolen their genetics and vice-versa.
in my opinion, dp still has some of the best outdoor seeds and their white widow is much better than the ww of greenhouse seeds and all the so-called white widow weed that i bought in holland!

Thank you Dr. Benway - You dont post much, but your post was very helpful.
I think you've echoed my feelings on DP's genetics - Now I have to see if the Jorge's Diamonds will live up to their rep.
Peace Dr.
