Could have something to do with the amount of skag, battered mars bars and tennants consumed in the Scottish land affecting eye sight....

Folks, that evidence is pretty convincing. I mean he did have both:
1) a "Scandinavian-type accent" AND
2) was dressed in a light brown garment like a flying suit.
If that's not a sure sign of alien life then I don't know what is!
