No trip would be complete for me without stopping by Vleminckx sausmeesters best fries since 1887.
They're around the corner from the Dampkring on Voetboogstraat.

The peanut one is Satay I think, and when I order I say "een grote frites met frite sause." yeah I know not very adventurous, I did try the satay one time wasn't really my bag though. How about you? I wish I knew what all the other sauces were.titus wong wrote:What sauce/configuration do you order? In Dutch please. Yes I agree, that would be much better than boring old mayo. I ordered the peanut one originally thinking that it would taste more like chicken! Thanks for the Dutch lesson -- I hope the Amsterdammers appreciate the earnestness behind my garbled attempts at speaking their language.Max Flower wrote:I wish I knew what all the other sauces were.
Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

Yeah it's all classed as sauce (in the UK a lot of people call ketchup 'red sauce'), if I was you I'd try something differant to ketchup, the mayo is good as is the satay, that Burger Bar place I was on about have about 12 differant flavoured sauces, the pepper one was pretty awesome as well.TwoCanucks wrote:Ketchup = sauce? Now that's funny. we put ketchup on everything.Boner wrote:You have to pay for whatever sauce you have.TwoCanucks wrote:is it true you have to pay for the ketchup when you order fries?
