Welcome to a great Forum mi amigo!

The Globe is a great place to stay and I'm sure you'll find it to your liking.

When are you going over? I'll be there 04/26 - 05/04. Drop me a line if you'll be around and we'll hook up for a smoke.

Hi every1 thanx 4 the welcomes. I`m going to the dam on the 31st of May till the 3rd of june. Getting on the ferry from Hull then spending a night at the globe before going home. My fave coffeeshop is the greenhouse effect, I last went in October and they were still selling 50 euro bags which was cool. This is a great site by the way. cheers

Hey Tommy

Might be seeing you about in Amsterdam - staying at the Greenhouse Effect Hotel on 30 May till 2 June with my smoking tag-team partner.

And I just found out that Marilyn Manson is playing the Heineken Music Hall the same night as the flight home ~ sooooo annoying

Nice to see you joined

Hi Valo

Yeah I probably will see u as I spend most of my time in the greenhouse effect. I usually try and sit near the window with a glass of coke and a ready rolled. If u see a slim guy sat with a fat guy, I`m the slim guy :D Although my brother said he wants 2 try some different coffee shops this time, he wants 2 do a guided tour but once I`m in the greenhouse I don`t move 4 a while.

... and I'm the fat guy! I'm Tommy's brother, he likes Amsterdam for the weed, I like it for the weed & what I can get to satisfy the munchies afterwards!

Just a couple of questions I was wondering about: first of all, does anyone here have any experience of Route 66 (just a few steps up from G'house Effect)? I like having a smoke in their as it's very spacious, but there isn't any reviews or comments on this site about it.

Also, is there an easier way to book a room in the Greenhouse Effect hotel, i.e online? Only the hotel links here eventually take you to the G'house pages, but it says you can only book by sending a fax (or presumably phoning them instead). Tom & I are staying at the Globe this time round, but we would like to stay at G'house Effect one day as it's one of our favourite coffee shops...

Any info greately appreciated. This is a pretty good website with a friendly forum; I used the hotel section to book our room at the Globe on May 31, so thumbs up for being helpful & useful. :)

Hi JSB. Welcome to the forum.

Just to let you know, there are 7 comments on Route 66 on the main site. Check out the Street Index, then Amsterdam centrum, then Warmoesstraat.

Thanks Lemming. I did notice the Route 66 page after I'd posted my first message, sorry `bout that.
