Siberie's coffee is still big, good, and cheap. I was there today on a Ganjatour stop. It's one of my best kept secrets actually. They also have a superb weed menu. Club Media to be honest needs a womans touch. It's a very blokey place and they coffee there has only been so so for some time. However, with a new exterior AND interior I think everyone will be surprized and pleased with the coming changes there. Katsu just upgraded their coffee, but the price went up accordingly.

For Americans wanting weak coffee the only thing I can think of is to take a bottle of water and add some, or learn to enjoy good coffee, he he..

Good to know. Siberie was my shop of choice in 2006, mainly for the coffee and nice vibe. Katsu coffee was rated 'poorly' by my wife. Nice to know that will change. I know what you mean by "blokey" though. I was surprised my wife liked the shop so much, if I remember right they had a lot of plants. Maybe that's why. I love Amsterdam's coffee, I can't imagine getting American style coffee there. Blech! To each his/her own.

Thanks so much for the input, the old stoners need all the help they can get these days. Lol. If I drink European coffee I'll never come back down and would be able to run back across the pond to the USA. I think I'll bring my own coffee maker with me and just leave it with a friend, till my next trip. Pass the peace pipe.

Just buy a drip maker here. An American coffeemaker will not work without a HD transformer.

I have to agree with you Code. I always start my day at the Prix with a spliff and a nice cup of their coffee.

I know now I've smoked to much in my years cause I should know better than to forget about the difference in electricity in A'Dam since I was visiting back in the late 70's an early 80's on a regular basis. Duh Duh Duh. Thanks MileHigh for pointing that out and I will just break down and buy one there when I'm there 420 in 2010 for 12 grand days of Bliss. Oh MileHigh where would you recommend I buy one???
Oh FYI I use to love strong coffee but the military messed up my stomach so I can only handle the weak drip these days. Thanks to all of you for your help and advise. Pass the bowl, please.

How about a French Press, you can make it as strong as you like and it's very portable.

we use a french press and you can make exactly the strength you require

if you want one for travelling, i recommend finding stainless steel instead of glass to avoid breakage in transit

i found a large 8-cup stainless steel french press at bodum a couple of years ago, they might do a smaller one

They are a messy clean up though.

I love my Senseo, I go through 8 to 10 pads a day.

Speaking of which, have you heard about the massive recall on the Senseo's? All units purchased since 2006 could explode if not cleaned properly. Mine is pre 06. Heee!!
