It was a borderline decision, but I've been swayed for the following vote:
Meet at 420!

We probably forgot what we were arguing about in the first place.
Argument, what arguement
Who's got time for arguments anyway, gotta roll another one, just like the other one.

Well said.
so the argument of the owner being an asshole doesnt matter to you? as stated elsewhere I really dont want to piss you off or make you think like me (wtf, the world would be so boring if everyone had the same opinion as me

), but I cant understand how you guys still want to sit in a shop you arent really welcome in. is the name 420 so important to you? think about it....still I wish you all a nice meeting and dont smoke all the good pot, if that happens I will have to find each single one of you and make him give it back!
so far, have fun!
I've been going to 420/De Kuil for about 5 years now, I've sat next to the boss when they served beer and he was very polite, they've always treated me very well, do you think De Kuil is the only coffeeshop in Amsterdam who is only out to make money? I actually think the shops that have more than one premises (Barneys, Dampkring and yes Mellow Yellow are more likely to be in it for the money than an independant one).
Exactly....
All coffeshops are businesses and I'd be shocked to find one owner who wasn't all about the money. Mind you, you'd hope they'd be a little more quiet about it, unlike De Kuil's.

Very interesting - this shows both the advantages and disadvantages of arranging online meetings
I will be at the 420 in support of the organisers and on the grounds IMHO it is a good shop. I know the owner is very outspoken but he is entitled to his opinion, even if I disagree strongly. I will frequent the shop as long as it remains friendly and sells good quality smokes.
I have met many interesting people over the years at this shop, including some from ACD and hope to meet many more at the 4/20 gathering
I think we all need to chill out or risk a very bad atmosphere developing, remember the staff also occasional read these forums
See you at 420 can't wait

I wasn't going to post anything about this topic as it doesn't effect me this year but i couldn't resist!
Guys ye have put a lot of planning into this meet and please don't let this arsehole of a CS owner ruin one of the biggest fogging sessions any of ye are likely to have this year;yes he's a dick who has made himself sound like a street dealer with a licence but i don't think his staff feel the same way as he does. Now iv'e only been in there once and the staff seem like they care about what kind of experience their customers have which imo goes with the whole cannabis culture that we enjoy!
So anyone who wants to keep up tradition do so, anyone who doesn't, go elsewhere for ye're meet and all meet in Nes at a designated time(or anytime)and get fucked up with the bhoys
On a side note i hope next years meet is just as big and hope ye have a wicked time this year.Peace!!!
Thanks to MH for keeping us on the ball with fucking pricks like this
