well, the shops there are of good quality, at least the ones we use to visit when there which are The Pink, Grasshopper and the Wall. they have a big shopping mall and a new shopping-centre at the end of the mall. many little cafes to sit in, its a beautiful city, but to be honest, I wouldnt go as often if there were no CS ;)
I heard they have a good night-club programm because its a very young city...

Let me know how it goes with the cheap flights with Ryanair, have never found them to be cheaper than Easyjet. In fact once they add airport tax it is always more expensive.

another thing you SHOULD do is, take the train to Sittard, go to the shopping mall and visit coffeeshop Relax, its the best shop between Germany and Amsterdam in our opinion, the shops in Eindhoven have great stuff, but the gear they sell at Relax is at least Amsterdam-quality, sometimes better ;)
Their Santa Maria is one of the best I tried, one of our favourite Indicas!
8but if you go, dont visit the other shops around the area, they are crap and mafias!)
