Everyone should donate to NORML - we can't be apathetic

Everyone should donate to NORML (National Organisation for the Reform of Marijuana Laws). I did, and will continue to do so. Find it here:

I have been watching the movement for legalisation for a number of years now and I have seen a little progress being made, but nowhere near enough, and less than I was hoping for by this stage. Elections are few and far between, and protest marches for anything these days seem to be diminishing and harder to organise. NORML are based in the USA, and I don't even live in that country but I still donated. Why? Because America is, lets face it, the biggest Western country and if its able to be sold legally there (like in a certain European country) this may be emulated by other Western countries. This is because "US homogeny" means that other countries tend to follow the US on many things. And also the fact that NORML no longer exists in my country thanks to politics and the rise of Big Brother.
I read recently that the UN has a lot to do with cannabis being illegal, as they introduced a resolution decades ago making it illegal under international law! (in aid of protecting children and similar bullshit). I often wonder what the UN is good for, except to act as a conduit for globalisation, and it seems to have its own agenda. I keep hearing bad things about it.
Anyways, everyone should make donations to NORML, and not just once. It is so easy, and they are the organisation thats actually going in to bat for this ultra important cause. It will pay dividends, imagine the drop in price and increase in quality if it were legalised? Also it is important to gain support on a grass roots level, influencing your family and friends to see the merit in legalisation. After all their the ones who vote for the government, and once a majority of the population supports it, it will happen.
