cannabis edibles?

Post by Friedmansbudhookup »

In California, they have dispensaries that sell all types of candy, cakes, drinks, etc.... Are there shops that sell a vast assortment of edibles besides spacecake?

not really when i was there, a good majority of shops do have a brownie, muffin or shake though. so there are edibles.

i had the same vision in my head, a skunky smelling pastry shop, or cannagarlic butter bread and a cannaoil fried steak. alas, no such luck. but you can stock up on some INSANE recipes to get weed into the craziest foods, for when you get home. get a few oz of trimmings and shake, and you could throw the greatest indulgence meal of all time.

Amnesia always had a good selection of cheescakes, gateaux and other assorted calorific artery-hardeners...

Mmmm, just what you need with a nice fat spliff!

B4 it was purchased by Abraxas, coffeeshop Chocolata used to offer choc bonbons and lollipops as well as cakes. I remember the chocolates tasting kinda crap though...gritty.

North americans are catching up to our european brethren. Interesting to speculate on SF and Vancouver as being weed destinations comparable to AMS someday.

It would save me a buttload on airfare...

Two "Canucks, I hope you don't misunderstand me. AMS will always have trump card -- the red light district.

i wouldnt necessarily say canada has faaaaaaaaax2r to go .. if you mean in terms of legalization... maybe.. but amsterdam the herb is not technically legal either.

at the same time.. in canada... we have head shops, vapor lounges, smoke cafe's, compassion clubs, seed shops, grow shops and all the other wonderful cannabusinesses you can think of. there are even shops where the general public can goto and get a weed milkshake or brownie and smoke a big joint inside or use a volcano inside or sit on a balconie or terrace and smoke away in peace.

the med clubs have clones, candies, chocolate bars, herb, hash, milkshakes, oils, budders, cannabutter, tinctures/sprays and everything you could ask for.

the general population of at least BC and Ontario is quite tolerant to the use of cannabis and you see more and more of a cannabis culture in both provinces. even the other provinces of canada are becoming more aware of the benefits of cannabis.

now what is making canada sooo faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from amsterdam or california or spain or any other place like it.

even in regards to the red light district.. toronto ontario alone has brothels, hookers, strip clubs , swingers clubs, gay districts, tranny hookers, hot hookers, ugly hookers, male hookers.. just about anything the rld has.. just no window girls.

back to the original post.

amsterdam's coffeeshop goodies are horrible.. they are all very weak for the regular cannabis consumer. if you smoke on the regular at home.. you wont even notice any effect at all from ALL of the coffeeshop brownies or anything like that.

the only one that is decent is the milkshakes... and you have to make your own now.. they wont make it for you.
i got my last one at abraxas.. banana shake.. wasnt bad.

there isnt even a coffeeshop that i know of that has chocolate bars or anything along those lines... does anyone know why this is? why have all the shops diluted there brownies or cakes so much that any regular user will not have any effect?

Vancouver does have some places where one can buy weed, but it is no longer done so out in the open. A few years ago, there were a few places, one which comes to mind was the Da Kine Cafe, where you could openly buy and smoke grass. They operated openly for months and months, but then, with undue amounts of DEA preasure, the cops busted the place and shut it down. (If the place was really so evil why didn't they bust it on day one?)

I am not so sure about people in BC being particularly tolerant about grass (or anything else for that matter). Indeed, BC is the most rightwing province I have ever lived in. Some folks here are tolerant about weed, but there are equal numbers (or perhaps more) who are strongly prohibitionist.

However, having said that, our medical users get far less hassles then in many other places and the compassion clubs operate without any police interference. That is to be expected, since arresting cancer, MS, etc patients is really NOT on.

Didn't know that -- will check it out.

BTW, wanted to say that I found those Canada posts interesting -- thx all.

Don't want to hijack Friedmansbudhookup's thread any longer so I will add that Abraxas has hash milkshakes. I had one ages and ages ago just to see what it was about. Can't remember if it was good but I do remember they let me use some hash I had gotten from DK which I thought was extraordinarily cool.

I do remember the milkshake tasting crap.

Ive had amazing experience from a Space Cake in Amsterdam, undescribable, I was so happy I was crying tears of joy and I started licking them and they tasted like honey to me!!! At one point I thought I was a bird, and at one point my third eye opened, its some spiritual shit look it up. And I am a daily smoker! Sad thing is I dont remember the CS I bought it, all I know is it was way far back past Blue-Bird.
