“Don’t want to be in Dublin on my 30th” sez the lady. Ok then, flights n hotel booked before another word was spoke. Our 9th trip together since ’05, fun & games ahead.
Got the last flight out on a Saturday nite, plane was empty. Great stuff, got a jump start and landed in schiphol 20 mins early.BONUS    .
Got to the hotel old ¼ for 8.30 and while my girl showered i sprinted back out onto the street, eyes like a fat kid in a sweetshop. Dropped into Sheeba out of convenience. Not a perfect place to begin but hey, the time to pick and choose will come soon.
1G CARAMELLO,1G NYCD, 1G CHEESE. 40e
Back to the room for a taste, spent a bit too long in there, but it was a great view.
Image
Hit the road and headed down to wok2walk, got fed and chipped across to de kuil, realising it had already gone 11.30! Grabbed 2g BLUEBERRY 16e and sat opposite the bar for a nice pure one. Really like this stuff, as it seems does everybody, so no in depth review needed.
This was the coldest weekend i’d known in Dam, with a rough wind. Decided a beercoat was needed so we finished the night in Suzy’s with a few ok’ish caramello numbers. Then bed for zedz.
Day 2 to follow, hope the pics are gonna work.

Sunday (no camera with us today, forgot , sorry)
Missed the hotel brekkie , so we stopped in at the irish bar on paleisstraat for some nosebag, then, after an aborted attempt at shopping, we headed off to pop two cherries each :-
First trip to paradox and first bang of a volcano (we’ve been shy bairns in the past). Budman was sound fella, spent some time chattin about volcanoes and the i-inhale vape i brought over. Used the 420 BB in the vape , which got the endorsement of the boss man. Wonder if he popped over for a bag later? Paradox is up there imo, was being decorated at the time, but quietly, in keeping with the vibe. Bought the Chocoloupe 1g for 12e. Wanted a little LA con ice hash, but was told it was coming back in tomorrow. See you then sez i.
The afternoon was all about the football, i’m a Geordie and we had the mackems at home today. We ended up in Coco’s outback as it fit the beer/match/smoke/food criteria. Anyhoo, th e Tyne/Wear derby ended one –all , and i had a crap kangaroo burger. Not good times. Nipped into Bushdocter for 2g AK47. Back to Coco’s for beers in frozen glasses and a few j’s of that ak. Expected a heavier stone off this, but it didn’t really deliver. Worked on my gf tho, who had a short episode that bordered on whiteout. Fair play to her tho, she brushed it aside sharp enough. Then it was off on a slow walk back to the RLD with the i-inhale full of chocoloupe. Made it up to the globe bar to watch Liverpool do Chelsea. Off for a quick kip then back to 420 to restock the BB about 9ish.
After stopping along Damstraat for fries and chocolate covered waffles, we dropped into greenhouse for a buy and fly.
2g ARJAN’S ULTRA HAZE #1 24e
Lurched out on to deserted streets for a walk up to Basjoe with the thought of Terminator. At this point, still unaware of what that really meant. I know i’d read the posts, but come on? Can’t be that heavy, can it?*
So in we go, just in time n’all, as they had only 2g left. Dry crystals, not the sticky stuff. Fine by me, handed a nifty over and got my little treat in baking paper. I was asked how i intended to float this boat so i tell him i’m stil a nicotine junkie, he smiles and hands me a lil baby spoon.
1g TERMINATOR 50e
----STOP THE CLOCK!!! THIS DROPPED THROUGH MY DOOR WHILE TYPING THIS! SHIT YOU NOT!---
Image
So anyway, two j’s later i hand back the spoon and leave, much nodding and smiling being done.
Out the door, head in a vice, walking on what felt like borrowed limbs. Not even the icy wind was penetrating this new shell. My new favourite smoke, so glad i don’t live in the kloveniersburgwal area, i’d be one seriously skint, cabbaged being.
Aah yes, my babe hits 30 years on this ball of mud tomorrow, so off to the scratcher in prep for the big day....or not. Got the goo for nightcap and we toasted midnight in Pinocchio. Me with a wild turkey, birthday girl on the tanqueray, both trying to ignore the weirdest cardboard gangster i’ve ever met. Little old cockney fella claiming he’d got out today,” bastards owe me, blah blah yadda yadda” Fuck off we’re busy. Drank, left, slept..........like a lizard on a rock.

On the other hand shady, you get to drive to Dam  .
swings and roundabouts eh?.

I'll leave the grinder on the table.

MONDAY .
At this point can i apologize for not resizing some of the above images. I know what a pain it is to be scrolling horizontally through shit.
My bad
Image
My last view of the night before... i love this city..........
Woke up quietly and stretched out along the window area and smoked a slo j of the remnants of sheebas weed.Watched the suitcased-up folks going to and from central.
Wish i’d been close enough to see the differences in body language, facial expressions and , well , you know.
‘Walking down Damrak’ is a unique walking style, sort of like ‘winning lottery/beneficiary of worlds biggest dong transplant’ walk......but with yer birds suitcase.
Birthday girl awoke to be greeted by a card, BB j, and a bottle of champagne. We passed on the champagne and after the hotel brekkie, we repeated yesterdays morning schedule.
We’d been trying to get a few bits from a shop on Rozengracht and again, like yesterday, the place was shut so off back to Paradox for that ice hash.
The decorator was still silently scraping and filling the wall as we went in.
Got the same seat and blazed away the next hour with great coffee and good conversation with the same budman.
One of the nicest blokes you could meet in Dam, we’ll be making this a regular stop next week.Back to the hotel next via AH for two hours of strawbs and champagne, spliffs, munchies, vapes etc.
After laughing in the face of the whitey monster, we scraped ourselves up, giggling, and set off to do “something touristy”So we chipped down to Heineken for an experience.
Image
I’ll be sensible here and admit we weren’t in the best frame of mind to enjoy the tour.Fits of giggles, low attention span and all that. He he he.
This was compounded by 10 young irish lads being the only other visitors arriving when we did. It felt like the staff thought we were their teachers, waitng for us all to arrive before beginning their spiel.
Perhaps we didn’t look as monged as we felt, result!Blitzed through the tour, and wandered off to media where we made friends with the cat.
Like this place, can’t remember what we bought, thinking white widow, maybe...Think we stopped off somewhere else around de pijp and...aaargh this has gone to mush.
Only vague memories of getting back and showering for the night ahead.Back into the cold air for about 9pm and off we went to Bluebird
MALANA CREAM , ?g 25e
My girl got a nice lil nug of haze, mako?, and we ended up chatting to the long haired younger guy (fernando?) about cracked lips/blistex, lighters and other odd stuff.
Always had the crack with this fella since we were over in 2006, he’s sound in my book, although he seems to have a bad rep with others, or is that the older fella? Found him ok too..
Malana cream was ok, not as good as the GH jungly cream imo, although a bit cheaper.
Decided on a slow walk back via Green Place based on forum popularity, place was dead when we arrived.Sat looking out the window and skinned a couple.
TRAINWRECK 2g
Love that taste, and a nice strong stone, but it was the right smoke in the wrong place .TGP may well be a top spot, the weed was bang on, but it felt like a morgue that night.
Dealer was slumped over the bar, eyes glued to the telly, and who can blame him.Twas the end of a long , cold Monday night. Looking forward to going back on a weekend.
Maybe next Sunday?.. Hmmm. Sounds like a plan.
We spent the rest of the night in the room, rads on full blast. Drinking , smoking..
Image
Watching the city tuck itself in with a big hot water bottle....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY. xxx

Is that some type of fungus cream for treatment?

Of course, I am only kidding.

Thanks for the report, these are great reads!

TUESDAY
Ok , give that clothes shop on Rozengracht one last chance. It was open. It was now also, in a word, shit.
Scratch that then, got on a tram to central, we planned to see Haarlem today so we took the short train ride on a dull, drizzly morning.
Got there hungry and wandered aimlessly down the town until we stumbled on Maximillian while looking for some nosebag.
Image
Nice little shop with cool lightbulbs set into the metallic looking walls. Really friendly girl behind the counter.(found this was no one-off, Haarlem peeps are sound.)
Got 2g BIG BUD, pleasant enough, think it was only 14e as well. Stomachs reminded us of their plight so we went for another wander.
Had lunch at a great little spot called De Linde, near Easy Going c/s, then decided to head off and find Birdy.
NOW we understand,... do Birdy first, or last, but not in the middle. Back uptown past the station, then back down again...nooooo. too much stress on the sock, that was.
1.2g JELLY HASH 25e
Got some haze as well, smoking area was full so we sat at the bar with a looza and rolled up the haze with the local smoking mix. I wasn’t taking too much notice of stuff at this point, just looking forward to a fatty of the jelly.
Rolled one for the walk with this, that was fun. Needed to be a snake charmer just to get it out of the bag. This j had us waitin outside the station trying to finish it off in the rain under a family size cloud of thick hash smoke. Apologies to anyone who had to walk through that. My bad. (guessin they won’t be readin this tho.)
Image
Throats needed beer now though, so off on another meander to find a bar. Harder than it looked, that. We ended up in a posh little spot in the north east corner of the Grote Markt. Drained a few longnecks anyway, then out on to the street just as the snow started falling, nice.
Image
W+A for a belated birthday meal next, dee-‘kin-licious.
Next stop was Easy Going
Image
2g EASY SPECIAL , 12or14e
Got buzzed into the smoking area, which was a bit scruffy, but once again, good friendly service and cheap decent weed. As it was nearing the end of our trip, i’d started to opt for quantity to supplement the quality i’d already gathered. Stepped out back into the night, little snowflakes floating all around to enhance the happy buzz.
Image
Finished off the Haarlem trip with a pre-roll in Empire then headed back to Dam to finish the night in Suzy’s. Had a blast in Haarlem. Top notch town.
Night night.

WEDNESDAY
Off home today. Bugger. THAT leaving feeling.
Put it to the back of the mind for now, flight wasn’t til after 6 so we left the bags in the OQ and chipped off for a trolley dash around town, but without a trolley, or much dashing come to think of it.

Dropped into 2e Kamer for the first time in years and picked up a nice blonde hash and borrowed a bong. Good fun for the next 40 mins, checking out the prints around the walls and watching the
world go by. We left with a fuzzy stone on us, but with all the last day purpose and regimental timing still controlling our pace, still felt like so much to see and do.
The weather and having a full day out of the city left us felling like we hadn’t toured as hard as on previous trips. We’re normally over a least twice a year but we’d only made it over once in ’08,
again in February , so the urge to get around a bit today was increased.Spent some time upstairs in Abraxas with a looza and a 2g bag of silver haze and discussed the next move.
Decided that we’d take a route that would eventually lead to Amstel via Rusland.
Picked up a bargain lump of maroc and took the seats down by the window and rolled up a few j’s of the easy special from easy going. Two nice lil nugs in this bag, it wasn’t just scrapes
and leftovers from the place. Clockwatching started to kick in again, 12.30.We'd planned on dropping in to the Xtra Cold Ice bar down Amstel since we got here,
so we took ourselves off to find it.
Apparently, this place has a back room where its -8degreesC and everything is made out of ice, the bar, chairs, your glass..everything.
Sometimes they’ve got artists creating ice sculptures in there too. Turns out this place is at the other end of Amstel from rokerij,
down by the corner of Amstelstraat and we got there to find it didn’t open til 2pm, over an hour away.
While we were asking the barman about the opening time, the Heineken horse and cart went by.
We’d only seen this once before, in May ’07, when we were sat outside GH centrum on a sunny day. It trotted past with all the brass bonded barrels looking all shiny,
best beer advert i’ve ever seen by a mile. Didn’t get a great snap, but fair play, my girl did have to chase it back up the street for this.
Image
So we head off back to Coco’s for a cold one anyway and start to warm to the idea of flying home truly twisted. Spent the next few hours in here talking gibberish to each other
as the daylight disappeared, so the only things we recall between Rembrandtplein and Schiphol was Greenhouse centrum and 3g of Jungly cream.
Up to the airport, only breaking off to drop our goods off with my pal Richie to look after for me.
Sat at the bar for a while contemplating a flight home and our liberty being whisked away again til next time.
Bye for now Mokum, see yer soon pal.

CHEERS- :D :D Basjoe for the T, 420’s BB in the volcano in Paradox, Haarlem..all of it.
JEERS- :( :( Us...for not making it to a few favs like Dampkring, Mellow Yellow, HSB (still kinda think we might have, right next to the hotel after all) and HGF, hope it’s still around for a while...
All done, thanks to all you guys posting up to date info, helps you find new stuff no matter how many trips you make. Peace to you all.
Back in town May 10th, we’ll promise more notes and bud pics next time(less drinking maybe? I blame the weather)
Looking at the who’s in town , it seems that we just miss a rush of acd heads by a day or two. Gutted! Ah well, better than staying home, hope to see the ones who will be there.
6 days man, get up!!! :) :) :) :)

Thanks for the report mate, you're Snowy nightime pics are great.
I can never manage to get good pics at night.
Thats the reason most of the pics in my reports from later in the day are just budshots
