What a funny thread. I do like deep dish pizza. I had some funky curry chicken pizza last trip. I'd never find that in the states. If I had my druthers, I'd go for a 'real' breakfast joint. Huevos Rancheros, hash browns, spicy sausage, that kinda thing.

Soul food should be in your poll.

Get a good southern black(USA) for a cook and give them some collard greens, ham hocks and cornbread, with beans and rice with southern fried chicken or chickin & dumplings and see what happens.

Nice to see your doing your bit for uniting the human race regardless of the colour of their skin as well, its people like you that will never let there be peace unless you learn that a human being is not judged by the colour of skin, but by what lies beneath.

The way you express your viewpoint is not only completely idoitic, but also hugely offensive, and im sure most people of African hertige would disagree with you. If you cannot express your point of view without throwing insults, then either your point is not worth being expressed, or you need to expand your abitly to make coherrant statements.

Sharing different cultures, foods , music etc is a huge part of being alive, one which is promoted by the multi-cultural societies we live in. This site is a forum for discussion on cannabis, regardless of the ethnicity or nationality of someone, we are all here for a common purpose, therefore we have a peaceful forum. If you would be so kind to stop trying to drive a wedge inbetween this peaceful space it would be greatly appreciated. If not, as the its been said many times on the board, fuck off to channels.nl.

However man, theres a load of discussions on here that you'll probably be interested in, as i assume your a stoner. Get involed with those, your views on legalisation are welcome espically as the more voices that get heard the better the chance of success is. Theres no need to post in the manner you did at all.

I definitely agree with you, Sir Niall. You stated it very well. We dont need or want these types of racists people/remarks here. It's offensive to most anyone that isn't a bigot and that includes me. Given his/her screen name, it's not too surprising though. I can only feel pure pity for this person and those around him/her. Peace and love to all people!
Let's get back to talking about good food. :D

Lots of good stuff posted. Naismith, I seriously thought about that rather than the burger joint idea. I know soul food inside and out having grown up poor in the south. Beans and Cornbread, Collard, Turnip or any kind of greens, fried okra, peach cobbler, fried chicken or catfish....I guess in a way, with where I come from, all those foods naturally dovetail into the Cajun/Creole style, since all those things were a part of our table.

As for as what color someone "has" to be to eat certain foods, I say bollocks. The reason I like to travel is to learn about cultures and traditions not my own. I would think it to be a truly boring enterprise indeed to just stick within the world you know. Food is a huge part of any culture/ethnicity and you cannot learn about a people unless you participate respectfully, and part of that participation is part of every culture....Breaking bread together.

Another point to ponder would be that much food has become a homogenous fusion of many culture's foods, ie. Cajun/Creole is essential French Cuisine with the ingredients freshly available in Louisiana. I guess one could starve themselves to insure they never step outside their cultural and ethnic boundries.

And yes, Cantona, we talked quite a bit about it. I thought it would make a fun topic that isn't a regular discussion on here. The Dam is such a fantastic amalgam of all sorts of foods, but there are always more kinds that would be really cool to see there....I am tellin ya though, those fish and chips I had in Haarlem were prime....really anything that I can put malt vinegar on makes me happy.
