italian beef can be gotten EVERYWHERE, not just als. i reccomend lukes on Jackson too for good italian beef (but shitty pizza)

there are all gamuts of quality concerning chicago deep dish pizza, i only reccomend two to anyone from out of town, Edwardo's first, Giordanos second. (and unos if you want the very first, but the crowds and the prices are a bitch)

chicago hot dogs? hot dog snobbery is ridiculous, ive never had a hot dog i didnt like.

I am all for trying out new things, and I just might try some of those out. However, I didnt look those places up on the net or something, outside of my home, Ive spent more time in Chicago than anywhere else. I wouldn't say any of my choices are due to snobbery, they are just preferences, and I really like them. It is rare that I find anyone that knows about Bacinos on North Lincoln Avenue, but that's just fine with me. As far as Dick's Last Resort...we have a tradition of going there and tipping the house band to play Lola, and of course the napkin fights, which I prefer to call "cocktail glass basketball" Ive become decent at dropping a few wadded napkins into drinks from a good distance...one lady saw me squaring up to shoot one into her glass, hes grinned, put her hand over her glass and gave me that no no no finger wag.

I will definitely look into those places on a visit though, Clayman. As a resident, Im gonna trust your insight for sure. This time the trip is about orientation at DePaul for my son. and Id planned to take him to my hangouts, even Sluggers across from Wrigley before the game. I am still dumbstruck by how much Cubs tickets have went up in price, even over the last 10 yrs. Then he will get the Southside taste when my partner flies up there in September to take him to see the Sox.

I do envy you on everything except the Hawk in winter...too brutal for a broken old man like me, but in my mind, if a person can't totally love Chicago, they would have a hard time being happy anywhere...it will always be in my top 3 places in the US. (I was distraught on my last visit though to discover the home of the biggest stench on earth, Lincoln Live Poultry is no longer there...at least not in the same locale)

P.S. at my first Cub game back in 89, I hit a Chi-Town Trifecta, When we were walking around the concourse to our seats, and Harry Caray was just walking right down the hall, took my hand, and in his bellowing (and high alcohol content) voice and said HEYYYY, How Are Ya?...then...if you recall David Letterman did a week of shows from Chicago, and he happened to be only about 5 seats down from us. My date and I walked over to see if he would sign our scorecards, and in his Letterman ass way, he said "No, but here's a handshake, now be on your way". Then one of the biggest for me...I snagged an Andre Dawson foul ball (always bring my glove)...what a great day that was.
How am I not myself?

Lots of fresh produce to be found in Amsterdam if you take a stroll around one of the many markets.

Nice to see your doing your bit for uniting the human race regardless of the colour of their skin as well, its people like you that will never let there be peace unless you learn that a human being is not judged by the colour of skin, but by what lies beneath.

The way you express your viewpoint is not only completely idoitic, but also hugely offensive, and im sure most people of African hertige would disagree with you. If you cannot express your point of view without throwing insults, then either your point is not worth being expressed, or you need to expand your abitly to make coherrant statements.

Sharing different cultures, foods , music etc is a huge part of being alive, one which is promoted by the multi-cultural societies we live in. This site is a forum for discussion on cannabis, regardless of the ethnicity or nationality of someone, we are all here for a common purpose, therefore we have a peaceful forum. If you would be so kind to stop trying to drive a wedge inbetween this peaceful space it would be greatly appreciated. If not, as the its been said many times on the board, fuck off to channels.nl.

However man, theres a load of discussions on here that you'll probably be interested in, as i assume your a stoner. Get involed with those, your views on legalisation are welcome espically as the more voices that get heard the better the chance of success is. Theres no need to post in the manner you did at all.

Anyone know of any carribbean takeaways around Dam?, there are loads around my ends :-). But i get the best of all carribbean food from my girlfriend mum :D
I found this on wikitravel's amsterdam page

La Margarita, Reguliersdwarsstraat 49, 020-6230707
La Margarita, Reguliersdwarsstraat 49, near the flower market, Tel 020 623 07 07, open 5PM to 11PM, reservations accepted. This Caribbean restaurant offers a huge range of plates, including three different vegetarian options. Every dish comes with ample sides of white rice, black beans, plantains, and vegetables. In addition to having great food, the restaurant is decked out with a range of fantastic and magic-realist art. If you like your food hot, be sure to ask for the special home-made hot sauce. €20-30 per person, with drinks.
Never been there so cant say how the food is, also the name makes it sound like a pizza place.

i think you'll find your idiocy amuses us, the more you continue the stupider you look and the more we will pity you.

Your comments indicate such a small closed mind that your reality must be very limited and frustrating. Or is it more a case of ignorance truly being bliss?

I think all the nice open minded people of this forum (and we are all colours, shapes, textures, sizes, nationalities and sexualities.....) will quickly get over the minor annoyance of your asinine comments and begin to feel pity for you as they realise you are but a frustrated simpleton trapped in a mire of xenophobic fear.

Or am I wrong and you are just being an arsehole for the sake of it?

Good for you.

My job is trying to stop such ignorance such as you speak, and after a busy week trying to peusuade against the BNP i have come to a conculsion. For some it is pointless trying to argue with, and i hope and trust such ignorence as you have, will eventually die out. There by leaving future generations a chance for peace and equality.

It dosnt piss me off, it makes me pity you. Sharing cultures is part of being alive and in-riches your life. I feel sorry that your deneying yourself the chance to en-rich your life by sharing and experiencing others, it would be a shame if you continued to have such a one dimensional view on the world. Such views has that has lead to atrocitys in the past, and i would of hoped people would of developed beyond such thinking.

Open your mind to other things, you might just enjoy your self man. Untill then, it would be nice if you didnt comment such as you did on a forum that tries to promote peace and equality. If you do not agree with that, there are many other forums on the net which your views and form expression may fit in a bit better.

Peace man, i hope you open your mind a bit more.

Why don't you get back to the topic of food instead of turning this into a pointless argument because of a comment aimed at a wigger.
