My dilema

Hi all,

Nothing major but something thats been playing on my mind as my trip draws closer (now only 4 days away).

I only smoke with a pipe and pure (no tobacco) BUT, I cant take my pipe and I dont arrive until 9.30pm (flight lands).

Firstly I'm not sure what time I'll be in town and on the streets, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to buy a pipe from a Headshop (dont want to waste valuble smoking time)... especially if there are pipes/bongs available for customer use in most CS's...?

My preffered CS are listed below:

De Kuil
Pink Floyd
Rokerij
Greenhouse Effect
Amnesia
Grey Area
Homegrown Fantasy
Abraxas
Dampkring
Tweede Kamer

So, can anybody suggest either a Headshop close to a CS on my list OR... a CS on my list that will have facilities to cater for my pipe/bong smoking needs...

PS: I'm staying in the Marriott Hotel which (by looking at the map) in very close to Noon CS

I'm pretty sure that Abraxas and Greenhouse Effect have souvenir shops where you should be able to pick up a pipe.

Rezin_8_ed, why not buy your pipe at home, new, pack it for your trip and it's ready to use when you get there. Should'nt be a problem at customs, because it's never been used. Only bad thing is you can't bring it home. Just a thought. AzLaker

I had thought about taking a pipe with me but was unsure of the customs issue, should I pack it (hiden) with my clothes or is it something that I'm allowed to take and therefor no need to put it out-of-sight??

i think AZ is right...just pack a new one.. If its new then it is technically fully legal, so not need to hide it but also no need to leave it in plain view.

and there are lil shops that sell all kinds of stuff including pipes all over the place...it will be hard NOT to find one.

ok, headshop on monday... unless i can get there 2moro... nice cheap and cheerful (disposable) pipe is on the shopping list. Chucked into my bag along with with socks, pants, clean T shirt and toiletries... A bloke don't need much for 2 days tokin'

It'll be about 10.15 by the time you hit CS. You can get a pipe on the Damrak, Warmoestraat and the Neiuwendijk at that time.

as I was expecting not to hit a CS until after 11pm... I really want to check in to the hotel and drop my bag B4 getting fried so, to save any unecersary loss of time I'll come prepared. But thanks for the advice DC... what are your shifts at Nes Cafe ? as I might have to take this offer if it still stands and I can get there whilst you are working...

When you first walk out of Centraal Station it is no more than 200 steps across the pavement to Centraal Coffeeshop. Ask the dealer for a pipe, he will present you with a large plastic bin with possibly 50 or more for you to choose from - only 5.00Euro each.

I keep forgetting I live here, if desperation sets in Rez, I could actually cycle down to the station and hand you a pipe as you come out.

My shifts are Fri, Sat, Sun 1pm to 7pm. Nobody claimed it that weekend so you're in with a good shot.....Half g of stella, .3 WW ice with a pinch of Tibisla Ice and a wee bit of tobby to make it burn smooth. kinda makes ya think yer high then bites ya in the arse!

whoooo-hoooo... Monday is 3 quarters done and it's only tuesday then wednesday at work... i'll be in town 10.30pm (ish) Wednesday night!!

I'll have the pipe sorted and ready to christen...

I'll be in to see you sometime on friday afternoon then ... just gotta practice the Dr Spock thing....

Rez....Forget the T shirt, its bloody freezing. pack a couple of extra sweaters and wear the warmest coat you have. I have never been as cold in my life as this last weekend in 'Dam.

Cheers BigJohn, thats great feedback... I got 2 coats, a thin one and a thick one and guess which one I was planning to take... the thin one! Looks like you just saved my stoned ass from doing some proper chilling!

I not sure if I could smoke that !!

Just had a quick look at smokersguide for info on the above ingrediants... I think that would be one to savour at bed time...

One step at a time, I gotta get to A'dam yet, find Nes, identify DC, do the spock thang and recite a line... all that whilst heavily intoxicated.
