I traveled to Nederlands with a band that played Blues Estafette in Utrecht in 1996. Unbeknownst to me, the cup was going on in the 'Dam, and Murphy's Law were going to play the closing party at Melkweg. Their sax player, Raven, showed up at Maloe Melo and jammed with my buddies a couple of nights before. By the time Murphy's Law played, I was feeling the effects of being a formerly-sober (6 weeks before my trip) American in Amsterdam!! After that, I vaguely remember being in some hotel lobby, playing guitar and singing some hippie songs.....
