There are plenty of good coffee shops in eindhoven you might do well to look around the forum there are a few threads about the like.It is also viable to get to Amsterdam from eindhoven the train takes 1hour and 20 minutes and a day return costs 30.80 euro.Going to Eindhoven myself in June so have done a fair amount of reading up on the subject. It seems for the mostpart to have good coffee shops albeit maybe not as much selection of newer exotic strains.Well worth it with Ryanair IMO

I went to Eindhoven on the 12th on a cheap Ryan air flight. It's really nice there, although quite different to Dam. Some nice coffee shops, not as much variety of bud as Dam but good just the same and some nice people, quite friendly and helpful. If you're going to do a day trip to Eindhoven I'd suggest staying there instead of going into Dam because the time seems to go by sooooo quickly, just think that's about 3 hours travel time to Dam and back from Eindhoven. The best shop we found in Eindhoven was "upstairs", really chill atmosphere and really nice female budtender. Look at a few of the other threads on Eindhoven, there's a map with all of the coffee shops on it, that's what we used as a guide. We're going to do it again in Sept./Oct.. Amnesia from Euro garden is a really good smoke and Jack Herrer from Upstairs was really good too :D Enjoy ur trip, it's well worth going and experiencing another city in the Netherlands :D
