I'm lucky, down my road we have an Egyptian restaurant/takeaway, and I know their showama kebabs are the real deal, Layered meat with the real Egyptian marinade, I've been to Egypt these are the business.
Had one or two passable showarma's in Amsterdam as it happens.

IG are there any traditional end of night canadain food? A canadian equivilent to a English kebab?
I dunno if there is anything specifically Canadian.
Poutine comes to mind, although I don't eat it . (Brace for it your arteries will get clogged just from hearing what it is: chips, with gravy, and cheese curd. A melted mess of artery clogging goodness. Almost makes a deep fried mars bar sound healthy.

)
Most urban centers are mutlicultural so that you can get any type of food.
For me, it could be be kebab, a curry, a pizza slice, a burger, a shoarma, a submarine sandwich, some thai peanut curry chicken on skewer, spring rolls, a baked potato with fixings, and so on. It depends on what is open and nearby, by the time I stagger home.
