Wok to walk is amazing. Also theres a pizza place just off the Damrak on the same street as the 420 on the corner which is really good as well.

I like wok to walk too, they haz tasty munchies on the cheap.

Moaz fallafel is full of win too, you can usually pile on a mountain of toppings yourself.

They're at Muntplein 1, across from the Munttoren

Check out the Thaise Snackbar Bird on the Zeedijk. One of the best Thai joints i've ever been to, and the do take away...
I'd recommend the Phad thai, and if you like really spicy stuff get the Basil chicken.... it'll make your eyes water.

It may be a little more than say a kebab... but it's worth the extra euro or 2... The Phad Thai was 8,50.

Whenever I'm up in town I grab some Bird before hopping on the train back home....

Thai take-away

Post by SeniorHippies »

On the corner of the Kloveniersburgwal and Koestraat is the Raan Phad Thai, a little eat-in/take away shop with excellent food and reasonable prices. This is near the Nieuwmarkt on the east of the RLD. Even an old man like myself can make it across the RLD and back to the Kuil while the food is still hot. The staff is very pleasant, and receptive to special requests. I like my Thai, and most things, spicy, even fiery. They make it just right.

I have to second the Thaise Snackbar Bird!

Hippy took us to this place and it was ridiculously good and fair priced. The Pad Thai was absolutely delcious and was enough food for two meals. We went back a second (and I think a third?) time during our week-long stay. Very nice staff and top-notch food. Highly recommend :D
