right, long story short, my better half and i are staying over at a mates all weekend, so to say thanks, caroline is gonna make us all breakfast tomorrow morning. shes bringing pastries and fruit and juice etc, and..... edible flowers!!! real flowers, just fucking flowers!!! no sugar, no e numbers, just flowers

now, its probably because you are raised as a child to never eat stuff growing in the woods and down the garden, or something, but i am having a major crisis trying to eat these, something in my brain is goooing noooooo! theyre poisonous you fucking idiot!!!!

turns out they are tateless, and they are decorative, but edible. but still i felt so wierd putting in my mouth when i really didnt want too...

One of the weridest foods yea man, ive always found edible gold to be a little bit werid....

hmm maybe I was brought up wrong but I've always eaten from hedgerows, particularly sorrel and blackberries, and my mum's always used flowers in salads (borage, fennel, angelica etc). The bags of salad from our local greengrocers usually have flowers in too, either nasturtiums or borage usually.

Weirdest food I've ever eaten? probably turkey bacon.
