Post by Bob2 »

Hi.
looking to treat my brother to trip to amsterdam problem is im short on cash so the more i can save on the flight the better.
after searching for a few hours i found this

Depart: Mon 22 Jun 2009

Depart Arrive Journey time From To Airline Flight
15:40 17:50 1h 10min London Luton (LTN) Amsterdam (AMS) easyJet easyJet EZY2163
Return: Wed 24 Jun 2009
x 2
Depart Arrive Journey time From To Airline Flight
18:15 18:25 1h 10min Amsterdam (AMS) London Luton (LTN) easyJet easyJet EZY216

£191.16

they are the dates i ideally want to travel on dont mind tues- thurs either but they are roughly the times i want to go though maybe give or take an hour. is this a good deal has anyone seen any deals on flights cheaper???
any Help would be most helpful as the more i save on flights means the more i can spend on skunk Thanks all

Would you fly I day later from Stanstead to Eindhoven and then bus transfer ( 1hr 20 and you clear customs a lot quicker than schipol ) to Amsterdam for 28.20 euro return each ? If so, you would and travel a day later it would only cost £40 for both of you .
Going Out Stanstead 23/06/09
2 Adult @ 0.00 GBP 0.00 GBP
Taxes/Fees details 10.00 GBP

Coming Back Eindhoven. 25/06/09
2 Adult @ 0.00 GBP 0.00 GBP
Taxes/Fees details 10.00 GBP
4 x (Web Check in) 20.00 GBP

Total Cost of Flight 40.00 GBP

Stanstead flights leave roughly 6.30 am, meaning you should be in Amsterdam by about 10 am.
You would need to leave about 4pm to get to Eindhoven for your flights home. The flight bus site is here
http://www.iamsterdam.com/en/placestogo ... ad4d060000
The bus leaves from outside the Airport and waits for the flight to arrive, returning you 2 days later to fly home. Remember the bus fare and time taken, should be offset against the train transfer from schipol, which would cost you 20 - 25 minutes each way and roughly 12 euro return each, so it's a pretty good deal to fly into Eindhoven if you can get to Stanstead )

Bus and flights total roughly £90-00

£10 flight deals untill midnight 8th June

Sleazyjet direct Luton to Amsterdam leaving a day later and coming back a day later as well. £153.16 check this link for details thats for 2 people

http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/resul ... n%20090625

Or depending on where you are based if you could make it to bristol?
Ryanair special offer £5 for each flight each way with free web check in!!!!
So leaving 08.25 in the morning from bristol on tues jun 23 arrive 10.45
Return 19.40 jun 25th arrive 20.10 bristol.
I know its a waaaay outta your way but as its a special offer you would only pay the handling charge of £5 per passenger per flight so you would be talking about a total of £40.00!!!!!!!!!! for two people travelling to eindhoven with free web check in travelling hand luggage only.
 Anyway it would be well worth it if you could make it to bristol.I noticed the cheapness of Bristol to eindhoven when bookin mine but couldnt get a cheap connection from Ireland.Hope this helps!! :D

I think the poster above has overlooked the "handling charge" that ryanair charge per person per flight for booking online? Not a criticism jus a thought

Around £130 from Birmingham, but you would have to come home thursday morning and then also travel to/from Birmingham so it will probably cost the same all totalled up.

Have a good one :D
