More fun in Amsterdam

Post by nytvd »

Well, had the good fortune to spend two days more in our fave city.
Took some pics and some notes and will share...
Lately have had the pleasure of stopping in Amsterdam each time for a day or so for connecting flights (I schedule things so I have the longest stretch between flights... )
on the way going there had only 6 hours that were spent in Amnesia - my favorite CS as of now.
They have some new Haze called Cambodian....so citrusy...like lemon going down your throat. It was too strong actualy and instead would suggest their Amnesia Haze or Kush. Anyway - it was nice but have had better. After a few hours of that I tried the Caramello hash - decided to try hash again and this one was a winner... great taste , excellent head and the texture, smell and color of this hash is just so tasty and inviting.

So that was that for the first day - stopped by Homegrown fantasy for some vanilla hash cake and headed back to Schipol and on to the business part of the week. (BTW - HF was hopping with action and was packed with very cool folks)

6 days later...here we are back in Schipol...it is 9:30AM and I can go into the city...have till 6:00PM to have fun.

So I take the train back in and get off at Centraal station where the bikes are parked

and make a right on Bergstraat to Amnesia.

now I am home and am making mysef comfy...
(well this pic is actualy after I was comfy the first time....)

OK, this time I went back to the Amnesia Haze - always a good choice, nice strong sativa with good taste and great feeling.
As I was finishing the budtender offered me some of his J - this was a G13.
Never had G13 and this came on the heels of a Haze joint. The combined effect was superb and I decided to try some G13 on it's own later in the day.
After a few coffees and hours later I got up and walked through here

to the Dam to catch the 9 tram to the Botanical Gardens. Had promised myself that I would try to do more than smoke weed and be a lump on a coffee shop chair this time and was very glad to do this. The gardens are well worth a visit and I enjoyed the 45 minutes spent there.

and...

Back on the 9 tram, off at the Dam, walk back to Amnesia.

On the way I see this bike - love the mud/rain flap...never saw one of these

Back at home base. The great coffeeshop Amnesia.
Now let's have a gram of that G13.

Man, where have you been all my life?
You are the perfect stone. The weed best suited for me..Can I even describe it? The perfect mix of head and body feel together with mind trickery and spaciness in the brain...I am in love with this strain.

And then...later in the afternoon the guy next to me offers me his Kush joint and as I am a very polite bloke I smoke with him...
Again - excellent smoke - straight up to the head with a fantastic flavor.

I am happy, please do not wake me up from my little slice of heaven here on this comfortable lounge chair in this wonderful place that was conjured up from a dream...do I have to get back to life anytime soon?

It's getting late - I need to get back to Schipol.
You know it - a stop at Homegrown...this time TWO space cakes (who needs inflight movies on the 7 hour flight to NY... :D )

So yes indeed. It is over. it was wonderful. One can only pray it happens again and soon.

Amnesia and Caramello hash are now officially on my list of places to visit and substances to smoke.

It is set in stone.

At this time in seven days, I will be there (amsterdam)

Nice report, along with the pics.

Sounds like times were good. You really know how to spend a few hours in Amsterdam.

Can't wait to get back to both Amnesia and the Hortus.

Damn good write up, thanks for sharing your time there.

Amnesia is going to be my first CS on my next trip. A fine coffeeshop.

The more I read about solitary trips the more I want to go on my own. I have always travelled with someone else...usually groups. When you all go together you are never quite sure how each strain affects you...so toasted from the endless joint passing and mixed varieties.

Im definately gonna book a short excursion for myself this year! Thanks for the report it was cool and has given me some direction!
You missed it right?
