An odd question

Post by nehctik »

Anyone know if you can fly after minor surgery turns out I have to have a minor op a week or so before when I planned to go to amsterdam, So i wondered since its only a 30-45 minute flight would I still be ok to fly?

Anyone have any input or experience on this?

It all depends on the surgery. If its truly minor you should be ok. What kinds of meds are you on afterwards. Ask your doctor.

Just remember if you dont declare it and something goes wrong you may not be covered with your travel insurance.

Travel what?

I only buy insurance if the law requires me to (car, buildings etc), the rest is a con, by its very definition. The money I have saved over the years by refusing un-needed insurance, I could cover any losses...

Hey but thats just me and I have gone off point a little by standing on my soapbox. Boner is right.

I always take my European Health Insurance Card with me and thats free!

We pay about £20 a year through Egg, my wife is quite clumsy so by having private travel insurance I know she'll be looked after with the best service if something (touch wood it doesn't) go wrong, we probably have 3-4 holidays a year so its not exactly expensive.

You should probably still make a claim a year to make it worth while...  8) It also depends on how many valuable things you have. I seem to place most attachment to things i wouldn't be able to insure anyway, like my weed... so not much use for me, other than medical, which in euro zone I already have covered….

I'm not worried, £20 a year for peace of mind is good value for me.
