Gay Pride

I've just realised my latest trip coincides with Gay Pride and just wondered if the people living in Dam could tell me what it's all about.

Is the whole of Amsterdam party central or is it just in certain parts of the city. Also is the nightlife generally better when pride is on.

Ive not been during then nor am i gay but its tons of gay/lesbian & bi people having a party,Kinda like queensday but for gay people.

Check youtube out, loads of videos on there, it looks like one hell of a party.

Yeah, I'm not gay but it looks like great fun!

They seem to have a good party and take over the canals for a party-parade.

I'd def consider bookin a trip during the gay pride festival in the future, all those bright colours n stuff!

I have had a couple of trips which coincided with Gay Pride in Amsterdam over the years. One time I seem to remember been swept along with the 'spirit' of things and it was everywhere. A real blast with some awesome 'club' nights and bizarre ‘boat floats’... I can also remember being there once and other than finding it hard to get a room that weekend, I never really saw any of the celebrations.

Cool guys cheers for input looks like it is only gonna make the weekend better had a look at the pride website and some of the parties look wicked.
