The range is dramatic. From very cheap (yes cheaper than the uk) to very expensive (yes much more expensive than the uk).

The real difference is the choice...

On average, its around 10E for a grams of the good stuff, depending on what shops you are in.

with the crap exchange rate even most of the cheaper strains are more expensive.

the prices are still very reasonable. I pay £10 for a gram in ireland. Thats £10 a gram of whatever old grass there is available, sometimes excellent homegrown but mainly poor production contamination weed. Also sometimes the weight is questionable.
So i find it extremely easy to hand over 12-14 for some of the best quaility weed from da dam. I always ends the same way....me=high

I pay £50 for 7g in the UK, when I went to the dam I was paying around 8 to 12e a gramme.

The worst thing I found was that when I went for a stronger strain at the more expensive price my immune system became stronger so the cheaper weeds didn't really give me that stoney feeling, unless joined with a 5e space cake

I think you are getting ripped off in Ireland then Jen, cost £20 per eighth or £25 depending on how skint my man is (sometimes great sometimes shit ):lol:

the 8 euro strains work out about the same but anything over that is more expensive.

There are some things in this world that (IMO) transcend money. Good bud, hash, or extract is always worth more to me than money, so I am not that bothered about paying 'over the odds' for outstanding product (NOT shit though).

Hey... want to talk about getting ripped off? It cost me three times as much per gram to smoke in Amsterdam as compared to back home. THREE TIMES MORE IN AMSTERDAM!

There's something to be said for smoking somewhere where you're not risking prison for a bloody plant (though in the nl you're not allowed to grow it so apparently spain and parts of the US are more free) Then again having choices on the solids alone almost makes it worth a trip for me

Interesting side note: the prices in the medical shops also do tend to be more than you pay on the street in California as well so perhaps quasi legalization leads to higher prices, silly me, I always thought competition meant lower prices...

on subject: I currently pay £140 per z of *really* good stuff so that's what, 5 a gram, but like happy said , I'll pay above and beyond for good things. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to translate into my guy finding hash, but such is life. However in the dam, if you're willing to wander outside of the central area you can get 10 eur deals on some good hash (say, Katsu

) The quality of the actual weed in the dam by and large leaves something to be desired, it's not cured, and is not good examples of the breed, a closet grower who showed some love would come out with much better flowers. But the hash. well, that rocks, it must be all that time between the thighs of afghani virgins. (Note: this is my fantasy, leave it the fck alone

) )

Really though, if you have a good connection and can get all you want in the UK, the only reason to go to the dam is for touristy reasons (it is however a nice place to bring an herb friendly lover and splash out

).

Northern Ireland use £ Sterling being part of the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Ireland.

The Republic of Ireland use the €uro. But yeah thats most of Ireland....

Here in the south its based around €50 bags. In my locality (which is worse than many in terms of availability) this means about 2.5 grams of either damp poorly undergrown commercial junk or bitty dusty south african swag in the smallest baggies imaginable. I dont ever buy any of this.

Elsewhere in the country there is better available but still €50 for 3.5gs if you are lucky, 'on the street' anyway, i'm sure you can find yourself better if you persist in some places.

So basically for me its irrelevant how much weed costs locally compared to amsterdam because what i can find on the street is of such poor quality, but it actually works out more expensive here anyway at around €14/15 per gram when you can buy a deal.
