I have been to Haarlem a few times and have always enjoyed the
coffeeshop scene there. However I always seemed to end up in the Willie
Wortel shops and t'Theehuis as they are relatively easy to find. As i am
hoping to head back in August I have been trawling the net for a great
map that shows all the locations. I found this on the coffee shop birdy
site. It is a .kmz file (google maps) with all the coffee shops in Haarlem
on it and a suggested route around them. Also you can click the leafs on
the map for more info on the individual shops...cool!

Any recommendations for your prefered shops in Haarlem people?
I love Willie Wortals they had a great menu last time i was there but ive
read their menu selection has got rather small recently...
(I have a soft spot for WW as they help set up the Dutch Experience in
Stockport of which i was a member and used to visit daily.)

Thanks man, it sounds like a hidden little delight! Buds sound tasty, I love the way Lafe describes it as going to a farmers market as opposed to the supermarkets of Amsterdam. And im all about the shoarma's!!.. with mayonnaise..

Birdys and Empire are also a couple of nice shops.
Empire sells great hazes from what I remember, Birdy has a good, 3 €10 bags for €25 deal. I Bought some very Stony Northern Lights and some equally stony Knetter ( which I think was White Widow if Im honest )
I have a soft spot for Willy Wortels Indica, they normaly have some tasty treats on thier menu.
