Time standing still

Post by Valo »

Only about another 20 hours to go until my flight to Mecca.......and I have never known time to go so slow (There are still 60 secs in a minute right???)

Not to worry though - gives me a little more time to write a rough schedule down in order to save time and maximise the Amsterdam experience! You know that schedule that most people write and never glance at again when in the Dam!!!!

Yeah, you can never do too much research :) I'm currently studying maps of all of the places we hope to get to on our world tour of the Netherlands next week.
Will you still be there next Sunday? If so maybe see you there.
Enjoy your trip when that 20 hours finally runs down.

I am going from Monday morning until Thursday night (unless i can get tickets for Marilyn Manson - then it will be Friday coming home!). So unfortunately I will just miss you Lemming, don't worry I will try and leave you some weed in the coffeeshops but I am not making any promises :)

What number trip to Amsterdam is this for you?

I don't know how many times I've been there but I can tell you that the first time was about 1988.
Maybe you can do some scouting for me and let me know where's hot this week. You could even add a travelogue here.
Have fun.

I can guarantee that I will be posting a trip report when I get back as well as adding some reviews for the main site - that is what makes this site so informative and fun to read, by having up to date information which is shared amongst people who have one thing in common - a collective admiration for Amsterdam's coffeeshops.

I will be more than happy to share any 'secrets' I find, following the trend of those who have passed before me.

Thanks for the vapo tip too Lemming, have a great trip.

Well - another successful trip accomplished. I really did not want to come back last night (as always) but I must admit this 4th trip was an easier return as I felt as if the 4 days in Amsterdam could not have gone any better than they did.

Will slowly update any information (messages) on the board but will most definately follow with a trip return shortly.

It sucked even more having to go straight back to work today and for the weekend, but work seems to go a lot smoother when knowing there is a gramme of Grey Mist Crystals and of Shiva Ice sitting at home (how did they get there?????)

Thanks Lemming. This was probably the best trip yet as I actually had a schedule penciled in for most of the days and managed to stick to it - it worked out really well, and apart from a few coffeeshops (always the way) I don't feel as though I missed out on anything.

The day trip to Haarlem was fantastic and I recommend it to anyone (smoker or not) to take a trip here if you never been before.

Not sure if I can write my trip report before you leave Lemming as I got to work most of the weekend - but just a couple of favourites I have decided from this trip (not including Haarlem) were:

Coffeeshops: The Coin, Grey Area, Amnesia, Katsu
Bar: Excalibur (no longer sell weed, but €4 a large (cold) Heineken, awesome music and in the RLD - can't complain!)
Weed: Bubblegum (Tweede Kamer), Bluecheese (Bluebird), Canalope Haze (The Coin)
Hash: Grey Mist Crystals (Grey Area), Crystal Clear (Katsu)
Girl in RLD: PM me if you really want to know :)

Valo, are you leaving again for the wonderful world of OZ? Only 5 more weeks until we leave. We will be staying in Heiloo and one of our stops will be Haarlem. What coffeeshops do you recomend ? And what else should a newbie see while in Haarlem? Thanks, AzLaker
