Which should be first?

Post by medic3829 »

January will be my first visit to Amsterdam. I was wanting to know what you guys think would be good for my first coffe shop. I'm staying at the Greenhouse effect Delft apartment. So something close to there would be good. I was thinking maybe De Kuil for a volcano.

What time will you be arriving? If it's before 10 or so, you'll have fewer shops to pick from. Central, right across from Centraal Station opens at 7.

Enjoy

What would you recommend from GHE that they normally have? I also found out if you are staying there you get a discount on the gear, and its always happy hour at their bar for guests. Can't wait, just over a month left.

I though it would take longer than thast to get through customs. It would be great if I'm in the city that quick. What are customs like if your coming from England?

You queue for 15-20 mins, show your passport then walk straight out, piece of piss. I stayed in the Delft in June, really cool apartment, nice and big with decent views and a supermarket right next door! Just a word of warning though, when you go out of the door to your right, the road is the Transexual red light district road, so don't get baked and lazy cos' you could be in for a shock :o

Thanks for the heads up. How far is the delft from the bar and coffee shop? And is it 1 or 2 bed room?

I suggest Pink Floyd's and either Top Tits, ummagumma, or mothers finest for a smoke.

As for three hours to get into the city!! I walked straight through customs, bought a train ticket, waited 2-3 mins for a train...20mins later i was in centraal. Must have been 45 mins after walking into the airport before i was in the dam, probably would have been faster but i had to wait in line for my train ticket.

I agree, it should take the maximum of an hour to get from plane to central Amsterdam.
