one way to get round the tobacco ban if you smoke cigarettes is to smoke roll ups, people tend to see only what they expect to see so when a member of staff in a coffeshop/bar see's you smokin a roll up they usually take it for granted its a joint and leave you in peace, worked every time last time me + wife was in the dam

I've had the Siberie webcam on and I've been checking back at regular intervals. There is a guy been sitting in the same spot for the past 3 1/2 hours. Cool.

I stopped checking after a while. Maybe he's still there.

Mind you he had a few textbooks in front of him, so he was presumably a student. Still 6 hours in a coffeeshop is a long time. So is watching some dude on a webcam...

I need to reevaluate.

Last time i went to the dam I went as a newbie and walked into the closest CS to my hotel, Smokey. Bought a bag of god knows what and 5 hours later emerged from there hunting down some hot dogs!

Smokey was the first ever coffeeshop I went into, hahaha. They do lovely Juices even if their weed isn't too good. Bushdoctor around the corner has lovely weed, so they make a good combo.

tobacco and coffeshops

I found in general, they would let you know right off the bat, whether or not they allow tobbacco .....or where!
for instance.....
at 420....William(owner) said that the amount of inspectors vs. the amount of places they have to tour....is about 100, or better, to 1....they only have like 200 inspectors and THOUSANDS of sites to tour.
He said, if they catch him letting folks smoke ciggys...he'll pay the fine and go on about his business...300E won't hurt him too bad! I wonder how he sleeps at nite !!!teehee
at the Dolphin...they are CRAZY about having no tobbacy upstairs, but offer comfortable seating downstairs to do so, and you can just go down there for a smoke and come back up ! One of the "tenders" Screamed at me, ASKING me if I had tobacco in a glass one hitter ! like, as if !!!
these are the only places I tried or cared to have a cig.....
Watch out for the crazy mediterranian  chic at the Dolphin !!!
Thanks For Playing !

Just got back from a few days in the Dam. Im happy to say that Planet Rock allow the smoking of Cannabis in the bar (no Tobbaco). You have to ask the bar staff for an ashtray and they will remind you of the no tobbacco rule and then you are free smoke as much herb as you want.

smoked mixed joints in;

Greenplace - by the front window
Old Church - downstairs next to counter
Excalibur smokers bar - upstairs
Greenhouse Effect Bar - by the bar
Route 99 - upstairs
Dolphins - downstairs

Basically everywhere i went i just kept ciggies off the table rolled up as normal with half a fag and smoked away. I dont think anyone really cares as long as they dont know and cant see any fags its all good. Come on seriously who gives a shit about a bit of legal tobacco when your smoking illegal, tolerated herbs, i know its the law now but its a pile of shit and is not enforced at all, Coffeeshops just need to be seen to be doing something, thats all.

Hi All,

Another one to add to the list:

The Waterhole, Korte Leidsedwarstraat 49, live music bar off Leidseplein.

They were always toker-friendly but I emailed them yesterday to see how the ban has affected them and got the reply

"we have a separate bar where you can smoke and drink".

Cool, a bastion of hope on Leidseplein!
