North Amercian sports bar?

Post by Adam420 »

Hi I was just wondering if Amsterdam had any North American sports bars? more specifically we would like to be able to catch a game or two of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. So basically was wondering if there were any bars in Amsterdam that would broadcast North American NHL Hockey. Any info as always is greatly apperciated!

thanks, Adam.

Yeah that would be my pick as well. I watched the Bears get eliminated by the Panthers from the playoffs there a few years back. You could smoke weed anywhere back then, but now I understand that they have designated smoking areas (which may or may not restrict your view of the TV -- dunno myself). You can also try Stones Cafe in the Centrum.

Bear in mind, that if they show the playoffs live on a weekday, it's prolly 2 or 3 am in the NL (bars close @ 1 am, @ 3 am on the weekends). Hope for a weekend day game, I guess.

Or go without.
Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

I just checked out http://www.satellitesportscafe.nl/ (what a beautiful homepage image) and according to their TV Guide they do broadcast NHL Playoff games!! as for the late weeknight games they record them, I will just have to talk to someone there to see when they replay the games (hopefully in the am for a good wake n'bake), once again many thanks!
