Even if the ruling party the is elected decides to change the laws, it won't happen in a few months.xxxdraqomxxx wrote:im so scarred that something will happen that i might just go ahead and wait till the 9th to see how the elections turn out

Are you stoned? Like a gravel road bitch, like a gravel road!
I am kinda of curious as the under which coalition of parties would you visit Amsterdam and under which coalition do you think things will change?xxxdraqomxxx wrote:thanks for the replies guys...im so scarred that something will happen that i might just go ahead and wait till the 9th to see how the elections turn out
the whole reason im taking this trip is to show a friend amsterdam before it changes anymore than it already has
BTW, coffeeshops are so far down on the list of important topics in this election I have not hear it discussed ever.
It looks like the CDA will do badly in this election, and this is good news for a sane Dutch drug policy.

as long as the PVV doesn't get much support i'll be happy....
seriously it feels like every few months or so theres a post here going "i need to see Amsterdam before they change it all!"
Trust us if something big were to happen regarding cannabis legislation....this forum would be the first to know....

Thankfully their support has dropped considerably. Off course, they are not for changing any of the cannabis laws which is why its frustrating t just look at Dutch politics through the eyes of drug tourism. I would much prefer a NL with less CSes but without a racist, fascist PVV in power.hippy_man99 wrote:as long as the PVV doesn't get much support i'll be happy....

It looks like the two liberal parties (D66 and VVD) will make a good showing since they are strong for libertarian social policies (drug policy, gay marriage, euthanasia, etc).

I'll agree with you definitely... It's not just the cannabis viewpoints as to why i dislike the PVV... they scare me like you said with their racist anti-muslim ideas.... Too bad I can't vote in the election...Marco wrote:Thankfully their support has dropped considerably. Actually, I think the PVV is for keeping the cannabis laws the same, but otherwise they are a disaster for this wonderful land.hippy_man99 wrote:I'll agree with you definitely... Tell me, just how draconian are their views, as opposed to Muslim views. Just curioushippy_man99 wrote:they scare me like you said with their racist anti-muslim ideas....

I was curious as to what views the PVV have regarding Muslims, not really knowing enough about Dutch politics, I was wondering how draconian their views were and what policies they have towards Muslims in NL.
I saw an interesting docu the other night on BBC about Muslims in the UK and how the EDL (English Defence League) are dilligently gaining popularity here and was wondering how things are in NL, as I think it's more of an issue there, than here, or is this not the case?
