Because I'm tall, ginger and have a goatee, if I start talking in Dutch it inevitable ends up with me admitting my Dutch is lame and switching to English. In fact I was so disturbed by the amount of Dutchies approaching me for directions whilst unlocking my bike I've been forced to shave off the goa...

One of the reassons my wife and I moved over to the Netherlands is that every holiday was spent here trawling coffeeshops and spending obscene amounts on weed, we never saw any other aspect of Dutch life, art or culture. Now we live here different story, we make a point of doing something different ...

It's a lovely thought, but seems unlikely. I only know of 2 coffeeshops that sell cooked food (and even then it's mostly done on a hot plate) Greenhouse and Barney's on Harlemmerstraat. If they were selling food on christmas day you'd probably have to book in advance. My pub in the Uk used to charge...

Happy to announce...
...coffeeshop D & L has reopened! Its the first time I've heard of a coffeeshop closed down for hard drugs being reopened (see most recent review). I've just purchased some of their goods and their top end weed at 10 euro/g is well priced and very good quality (cheese, G13, Amnesia and Oceans 12...

Definately not my favourite coffeeshop in Amsterdam, I bought some space cake from here a couple of weeks ago and it was horrible, the sugar had crystalized in it (mmm...crunchy) and it tasted awful added to which the Powerplant although well priced was a very harsh and weak smoke. On a plus note th...

When I first walked past Club Media I thought it was a posh nightclub... but no, it's a super smart coffeeshop. Fortunately the bud is as good as the sleek stylings which pack in a couple of plasma TV's and a pool table. The Menu was interesting compared to most places, highlights include; Hippie, H...

Funnilly enough I saw a coffeeshop making their pre-rolled joints, they mixed up a box of tobbacco and weed, attached around 10 of those empty cones to a metal centrifuge thing, poured the mix in, cranked it up and within 40 seconds all the cones were full. Cool huh! Last time I had a pre-rolled it ...
