The ACD is big, covering over 1400 cannabusinesses, past and present, throughout the Netherlands. Each shop has a mini site dedicated to it within the Directory and there are many ways to navigate through it.

Breadcrumb Trail

In the middle at the top of every page is a heading indicating which branch of the Directory it's on. Links here lead back along the branch and, when you've scrolled down the page a bit, a shortcut back to the top.

Tapping a coffeeshop on the Amsterdam Map is an easy way to jump to a specific shop. There are more maps too.

Indexes

From this list of towns you can open a list of the shops in any town. A to Z lists group shops alphabetically. More indexes here.

Tabs

To reduce initial loading times, especially of maps and menus, the information about each shop is divided across tabs. The first tab always shows the particulars such as contact details. Further tabs may include reviews, maps, cannabis menus and picture history.

Shop Types

Most important are, of course, the Coffeeshops. These are cannabis shops or dispensaries. Alongside them are supporting businesses, such as bars where you can consume cannabis and shops selling bongs, seeds, herbal highs and so on.

Past, Present and Future

There is plenty of up-to-date information here about the current shops. There is also a lot of historical information. The ACD has been running since the 1990s and features many shops that no longer exist and pictures and discussion of current shops through time.

A Coffeeshop licence applies to an address rather than a proprietor and many shops have changed name and ownership in the past. The ACD documents the story of each premises.
