The same morning that Papillon was robbed by the (still vigilant) dude who got away on foot, police was plastered all over town to protect a fkin marathon :|

Ahhh yes, access to the pijp was almost closed off. It was my birthday that day, me and rhe gurl rented a tandem and cycled around the pijp running into the marathon on several occasions, we were almost boxed in.

highly recommend tandem bike :)

There last Monday. Loved the shop last time I was in, this time wasn't quite so enamoured.

Early afternoon & it was really busy, constant queue at the front counter and not enough people serving to make getting drinks etc at all easy. My mate's small drink order was gotten quite hilariously wrong (half not arriving, the other half wrong - who orders a can of banana juice anyway?). The guy serving was nice enough but when I asked a question about the Calfornia Mist the answer was "sorry, don't smoke it and the boss hasn't told me anything". Honest, but not very helpful in the circumstance.

Had to sit downstairs as upstairs was full - as noted before in this thread iirc it does smell a touch mildewey back there too.

As for the weed, decent and fair prices but nothing really stood out as top quality. Iirc all were either €10/€11 per g. I had some Pineapple Chunk which was ok but not memorable, while my mate thought the same about the LA Con. The Vanilla Kush was a nice tasting smoke though, quite liked it. Also had half a g of the aforementioned California Mist - very straggly sativa-type buds; smell, taste and look did remind me of my old fav Kali Mist from a decade ago. Unfortunately I didn't much of the resulting effect and decided against buying more.

Well yeah, that was how I took it too. If he'd had any more info about it or been otherwise more helpful, odds are my initial purchase would have been bigger too, so poor business really.

Worth saying that he wasn't rude or even standoffish like some budtenders can be, but it still wasn't the response you hope for, and the subsequent drinks fuck up (a coffee, a tea and a coke, not complicated) kinda compounded a less than brilliant impression of the service on this specific visit.

That's how I'd take it too if I were in one of my lovely bubbly moods again

I don't know how long he has been working there, whether he's working there often or just a few hours a month, etc. But he'd probably said something to the effect of "I don't work here often" if he were a temp..

damn I'm spoiled
