Right.
I've stayed over the years in Durty Nelly's, The Winston and the last six times I have been to Amsterdam with my gf we have stayed in a canal view room in the Bulldog - quite expensive.
Last time we went in August 2012, the Bulldog had changed, it wasn't the same place as what we were used to, so we are concidering staying somebody else.
We enjoy the atmosphere in the hotel and a bit of life, i.e a bar.
If there's any places any of you can think of that would sound ok for us, post please.
Thanks.

Fifteen trips...WOW
Re: Acommodation advice - trip number 15.
Well, a 4 day weekend in Feb at Bulldog in that room would be the thick end of £500. For that amount Travel Republic is offering 5 star hotels with breakfast in the Centrum. Hilton, Radisson Blu, Renaissance, etc.. Lots with £1 deposit.

Once you get your lodging and dates sorted, get them to me.
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.
Enjoy

I've stuck with the Bulldog, I'm all booked now, thanks anyway.
Apartments sound great for a group, but we decided to stick to the hotel, as we like the use of the 24 hour pub to get stoned and drunk in.

I see your thinking. I'm not really a fan of the Bulldog myself but having a 24 hour pub on site is a real clincher. I take it you have to be a hostel/hotel guest of the Bulldog to partake at 5am in the morningbenstraat wrote:I've stuck with the Bulldog, I'm all booked now, thanks anyway.

I know you've already booked mate but something to consider for next time is funky chicken on spuistraat. It doesn't have a bar but you can get a very nice apartment for 4 for about 400 euros for 3 nights. It's a nicer, quieter neighbourhood but a very short walk from all the action. I've stayed in loads of different places over my many trips including some you mention, at the moment I'd say funky chicken is a good bet

Check out the Hotel Royal Taste in the RLD.
Has a bar and is right in the middle of the action.
Prices per night are okay too.
