I booked with Delta last year and klm this year. I don't think the mileage benefits are interchangeable. It seems foolish of me to have bought tickets via klm for this reason. Oh well I guess lol

Personally I like klm better than Delta.

I believe that Delta and KLM are affiliated as I have seen many Delta flights operated by KLM.
The best price I could find on KLM was over $1200cd so, I looked at other airlines and found a flight for $756cd. Icelandair, we have an hour and a half stop in Reykjavik, never been there. Hope we make it. 😂😂
Roll on 420

Hour and half aint too bad. I've had a friend fly into Iceland like you are. But the duration was much longer. In fact diff in price for me for a nonstop 10 hr trip vs 16-19hr with layover is about 5-600$ usd . Unfortunately when Vacationing time is of the essence to get to and from as quickly as possible since time is limited so it's very worth it for me.

I might also mention the first 9-10 times I went we had no nonstops the fact we do now is just amazing

If we take a direct a flight we arrive at 6am, which makes for an unsettling first day, I tend to require an afternoon nap. With the layover we arrive at a much more reasonable time and save almost $500cd, plus I hope to get an Iceland stamp in my passport. You must be flying from the mid-west with a 10 hour direct flight?

Closer west than Midwest.

Flight arrives non stop at 1055 so good timing to get in goto hotel leave bag if need be go smoke come back at "check in" then shower and repeat

Saving money is always nice.

Living in the west, (Arizona) I've learned a 2-hour layover going and coming home is fine with me. I've had short layover's before, and I always seem rushed to catch my next flight. One flight over, we were late getting into Michigan and because of our short layover we missed our outgoing flight to Amsterdam. Had to wait 3 hours before the next flight out. On the long layover's, I'll grab something to eat and chill. I try and catch a redeye flight so I can sleep on the plane and be ready to go when I arrive.

That sounds like an exciting plan! Booking an apartment for next year's 420 coffeeshop crawl in advance is a great way to ensure a comfortable stay. It's wonderful that you'll be there for the Saturday 420 celebration, and it must be fantastic to reconnect with people you met last year while also anticipating meeting new friends.

The picture you shared from the movie "Pater Noster and the Mission of Light" adds an intriguing touch. It sounds like you've got some interesting stories to share from your experiences. I hope your upcoming trip is filled with memorable moments, great conversations, and perhaps some new inspirations for your creative pursuits.

Safe travels and enjoy every moment of your 420 adventure in Amsterdam next year!

I went ahead and got a refundable reservation at Voyagers over 420 , that way if I can manage to afford the trip I won't have to worry about where to stay. If anyone sees anything else reasonably priced let me know. for these dates, the voyagers room actually seems cheaper than most for a queen size bed, says rooms have fridges and I believe the one I chose should get me near ground floor or close to it. I've stay in the highest one with a view and that was rather amazing, however those stairs up and down WERE NOT lol.
