Arizer Extreme Q

how is the airflow orle? i have a solo with a gong adapter and you have to draw so hard on it, it's terrible

No airflow problems with my Q until the screens start to clog up, which happens fairly quickly. But no issues if I just replace screen after every 5-7 bowls or so.

This machine is still doing the trick and doing it well! I've consumed at least a pound in it over the last 18 months and only had to replace some minor glass parts which were pretty common and stocked by local headshops. Didn't expect it to even survive this long.

A great little thing. Had about 50 (?) bags so far and also tested the whip. 205c seems to work the best for me. One of my hashes was about to melt so I needed to go down to about 185 with that one - got me paranoid as hell for a moment. No probs with the higher quality hash though (expected it to be the other way around). Gonna get some more gadgets - if I can find any. So far I'm happy with it, smoked 2 cigarettes instead of 12 or whatever I used to smoke. Gonna be tobacco free in no time - even if not 2 tobacco joints (small paper) won't kill me any sooner...

p.s. found this one while doing my research for the Arizer: http://vaporizer-info.com/en/vaporizer/vapirrise looks like another affordable, good quality alternative to the Volcano. You can use bags and even 4 whips at the same time (shisha mode)...

p.p.s. edit: did some more research on the Vapirrise. Seems decent but the system to change the valve and to access the herb chamber is a bit unhandy imo. I only have two different hashes atm. One of these does indeed bubble and probably would melt through if I wouldn't use weed or something as a buffer and go at high temp. Temp @185c works best with that one - still it clogs up the screen, but without dripping into the unit.
My better hash doesn't bubble much at all but gets stuck on the screen (pretty easy to remove). Still I wouldn't go higher than 200 without another layer of weed or something just to be save.


p.s. some must think that the hash I believe to be inferior is actually the better one - you would agree with me if you smoked or vaped them both though.

edit update: the 2 screen method works pretty good for hash. one screen gets totally oiled while the lower one remains totally clean - thanks for the hint guys. also best to use one of the Cyclone Bowls (herbchambers) for hash exclusively. i use both at the same time so I can switch between hash and weed during a session without messing all my screens up. after 2 or 3 loads, you will have to ico bath the hash screen.

I don't have access to good hash at home so its taken me a while, but I tried some cream yesterday on a bed of avb and it was lovely wish I had more

No need to be ashamed, good to hear it worked out well. I did some further testing and with 2 out of 3 hashes (probably 3 out of 3 but ran out of test material to confirm) high temps above 220 degrees celcius are possible without problems - using the two screen method. I don't really need such high temps but it's good to know it works that way too.

Is the bag option worth the extra money? V tower vs Extreme Q?

I have used Volcano more and EQ only once at Azarius, and it was with a whip. Got to say, I like the bag option when it comes to sharing.. but is there any difference taste- or strenghtwise between V tower and EQ? Like, is the EQ just a version of Vt with a fan installed inside?

..still probably going to get the EQ, just because of the bag option.. but would be nice to know if there is some significant difference in potency or flavor..

Now I'm on e-cigs and liquids, trying to drop the amount of nicotine every month or so.. And I thought that this would be a natural step away from tobacco since mixing tobacco with bud and hash is pretty standard procedure where I live..

Sweet, thank you for confirming. Now I'll have to wait till next payday, but EQ it is... Volcano would be even cooler, but yeah.. double the price, and no whip to toy around.. Since, it can be fun just to lay on the couch and have a shisha moment / chill session.

I don't own an EQ or any desktop vapes for that matter, but I remember reading that people got good results putting hash in the glass elbow rather than the chamber you put weed in. I've not seen or used an EQ so the terminology may be wrong, but that should eliminate the worry of hash dripping onto the heating element. It's a common method so I'm sure google will help a bit more than I can.
