Hi - I have also booked flights and accommodation and can confirm attendance on that weekend (will be there Friday to Monday - there will be 3 of us, 2M and 1F).
We have been to Amsterdam before but not 420 weekend. I have been reading up on the previous years’ shenanigans and am looking forward to seeing it for myself.
Do we need to do anything for this - we are looking to take part in some of the activities but presumably we are able to dip in and out as we please? Main thing for us is the 4:20 on 4/20 @ 420 if that is still a thing?
Any guidance on what to expect etc would be great.
Hey guys! So this year is the year where I finally get to mark as "done" one item off my bucket list: 4/20 in Amsterdam.
I will only be arriving on 4/20 and will be there until 4/24. Will be traveling with three (two?) non-smokers so may only be able to take a couple of hours off here and there to finally meet some of you.
I almost had a heart attack when I saw this year's hotel prices. Holy shit, they're totally out of control starting in March.
Have you guys figured out a way to stay in touch while in town? Something like a group in Telegram or Signal or whatever?

Yeah man it is crazy how much they are charging for hotels now.

Welcome dude65 & glad you can join us for 4/20. I'm from American, State of Arizona. I used WhatsApp the last time I was in Amsterdam, t's definitely a great way to stay in touch with other ACD'ers while I'm in town. But normally, I don't use it here in the states. Not much of a texter.

That's kind of what I thought No idea why Americans will use all sorts of messengers but not WhatsApp which happens to be the "standard" in Europe. I do prefer Signal, but see above, "standard"
Note to self: Try to find out why WhatsApp never took off in the States.
Well I just ran out and got Whatsapp so I can be more in touch this year...I plan on being around much more this trip with the daily joy and madness of the upcoming days..Now if you will just teach me how to use it once I get there.
