EAT MODE <----- Yes, This is the name of the place.

It's in Chinatown.

Zeedijk 105-107, Amsterdam
T: 020 - 330 08 06

I go to Eat Mode every visit to Amsterdam.
My thoughts are free.

If you like steak, hit an Argentino steak house. Good price for the euros and nice staff. They are everywhere. AzLaker 8)

www.febo.nl ~ Just in case you didn't know!!

I'd like to recommend Kantil De Tiger (sp?) on Spuistraat for a rice table to blow your mind, so tasty and if you head over to Haarlem then you've got to try Wilma & Alberts Steakhouse!!

For some reason the Chicken at the A`Dam KFC always tastes so much better than over here! I love 5 or 6 pieces of Original Recipe after a smoke, nothing like it!

If you eat in the restaurant though, always make sure you've got some change to give to the lady to sits near the toilet door waiting to be tipped! I think this is the case with a lot of eating establishments in the city, I suppose when one is dying for a slash there's no other alternative but to cough up!...

There's a really nice & not-too-pricey Italian restaurant on the same street (sorry, I always forget the street names). I can't remember what it's called, but they do a delicious Spaghetti Carbonara & some fabulous authentic Italian thin-crust pizzas. Plus unlike some of the restaurants on that street they never have their owner standing at the dorr way beckoning you to come in, so that's a good thing, too

breakfast place

Post by Firefly315 »

Hey guys,
I forget how far down on Nieuwendijk from the Flying Pig Downtown (Nieuwendijk 100) that great breakfast place kinda near La Canna is. Is it on the same block, and what's it called? They had apple studel and waffels and great onanje sap!
Thanks!

My favorite restaurant is called 't Fornuis on Utrechtsestraat. They happen to be just a couple doors down from the Stix. Anyways, fine dining and really not too expensive for what you get. I recommend the Puff Pastry with Goat Cheese (Geitenkaas), Roast Beef, and Creme Brulee. Probably around €30.
