"4-20" Boat Trip

Post by Lemming »

During the 2008 Gathering, SilentlyScreaming, our respective girlfriends and me took a trip on a St. Nic boat. It was a bit chilly, being April, but great to be able to smoke while cruising the canals. Here’s SilentlyScreaming (right) and me.

Last year we rounded up a few more people for a repeat performance. In this pic I’m wearing the shirt Twichaldinho gave me. He’s in the pic as well and so is Hestia.

The St. Nicolaas Boat Club is a weird and wonderful organisation. They don’t take bookings via phone or email, instead you have to go to the Boom Chicago comedy club on the Leidseplein and enter your name in a little book. Last year Hestia kindly signed us all up a few days ahead. As she’s arriving early again this year we could ask her nicely to do the honours again. If not, I might get a chance on the Sunday.

Anyway, post here if you’d be interested in a boat trip and we’ll see how many we’ve got.

I would loved to be involved Lemming, sounds like it would be great fun.

I will buy a wind proof lighter for the pipe especially for the boat trip :D

St. Nic is constantly being shut down by the city, so double check if they are going out this year.

I would be interested. 4/20 is my last full day, I am leaving the afternoon of 4/21.

How much did the boat ride cost last year?

Good point, yes - no guarantees folks. Do you happen to know of anyone else with a boat if St Nic isn’t going, Marco?

They take donations. Someone might remember, what was the suggested amount last year?
