I entered there because I wanted a beer and I saw an Amstel flag inside the coffeeshop. Beauty girlbud-tender. Skunk it is not bad. But not so good too. 5/10

The only reason I went in to sit inside was because I wanted to see if it was as good as it looked on the outside. I expected some good reggae music and good staff. The music was real commercial and it was cheap reggae. The weed was ok but not cheap. I am Dutch myself and when the girl working behind the bar came over to help me, she didn't even speak Dutch. That will tell ya what a tourist shop this is. They were rushing people out and spoke in their own language the whole time which I found rude.

A small shop with just one level. The dealers/drinks bar are on the left as you walk in. the menu was fairly large but the Purple Haze caught my eye. Very very purple with a lovely sweet smell, tasted great as well. The dealer (also the owner I presume) was an older chap, around 60 I reckon, quite friendly and willing to show his products no problem. The drinks menu was good as well with all the usual beverages. They have bank notes from all over the world stuck all over the walls a ceilings. The fella would probably be a millionaire if he cashed all the lollie up! Nice place.

Excellent music. Didn't seem too lively but the service was great.

This place is a must for even the most hardcore stoners. This was the 1st place I arrived on my visit. Dark(ish) place, friendly staff & have internet connection if needed :) I ordered some Super Silver Haze, rolled up a nice big one & the high was out of this world very very intense, as was the hash I had, rate this place very high 9/10.

Brilliant coffee shop, we returned a couple of times. Really helpful staff didn't mind constantly walking up and down stairs with our drinks. Reggae was so good you could feel the basslines in Jamaica. Mushroom tea here is a must, also the Purple Haze and Skuff are good here.

They got a pretty cool area downstairs they only open sometimes or on demand. For me and my boys, the Double Reggae is an absolute must and highlight on each trip to Amsterdam. All in all: right next door to Jah!

A great place to knock back and expand! The staff was friendly and very helpful in choosing some special buds to take the sting off of the ejection from Ukraine. Nice menu at the time, enjoyable chunks of Red Bud and stinky wads of White Widow, good value, cold beer and of course the Marley, the nonstop reggae. Although the bar is a bit narrow (but hey, who in the hell can bitch about that, one is in Amsterdam, right?) the scene is laid back and plenty of room outside, if you can lean a chair back.

Myself and my brother visited Double Reggae yesterday the 13th of July at around 3pm, my brother had been suffering from chronic diarrhoea and spent some time formulating a large stool in the toilets at Double Reggae. When he came out of the toilet there he was barely able to walk or talk and had some difficulty sitting down. At this time the waiter from that bar who looks like a toss up between James Brown and Marvin Gaye with a bit of Apollo Creed thrown in for good measure came up to my bro and was seemingly accusing him of peddling cocaine in their area! This is outrageous we thought! We are only a couple of Irish boys on hols kicking back, he was pretty rude and abrupt and generally ruined an otherwise perfectly good afternoon. Walking around Amsterdam after feeling like a couple of Cuban drug lords did not help!

It's noticeable for one thing - the sign on the window - "Over 18 - And Don't Fuck Around" - unwelcoming though it may be, we had a smoke in here (didn't buy any) and the guys were really friendly - it looked a bit dark and dodgy but has loads to stare vacantly at and the drinks were reasonably priced.

Stumbled upon this place by chance. The last time I arrived Schipol it was at 7:00am. By the time I made it to my hotel it was only 7:30 and my room was not ready. I took the tram back from the Spui to Central Station looking for Barney's. Didn't find it right off but as I walked down the busy street parallel to Central Station a bight neon "reader" sign caught my attention proclaiming the hours of this place to be from 7:00am-1:00am...perfect.
It's a corner shop that does have a lot of space but again is used rather poorly. The large windows on the front are all done up in different images like Jim Morrison, Bob Marley and landscapes of Jamaica or tropical paradises. The place is narrow but long with the huge bar taking up most of the front left side of the shop and plenty of seating as well as bathrooms towards the back. The tables are pretty cheaply made and secured but the floor is real 2x6 wood planks! The bartender helps you out with the pre-packaged weed and hash from the rather extensive menu and gets you a drink to boot. I bought the K2 and was very happy.
They collect foreign currency (mostly American dollars) for some reason and tape them above the bar is some crazy scheme. One guy did it while I was in there.
