The menu is huge and the weed I bought was great. The OG Kush and the Lemon Haze were insane. I'm from Holland myself so I could easily let the bartenders explain the menu to me. They were more than happy to give some good info. The little guy Johnny was very friendly and I really had a great time.

Coffeeshop Extreme has changed its name to Best Friends 2, due to the fact that the owners have another shop in Amsterdam Oost (the east part of the town) called Best Friends, which already has a good reputation with the locals for good weed and hash for reasonable price. The sad thing is that they now have the menu they used to have in the original Best Friends, so no more SSH, Amnesia, AK47, etc, and, most of all, they don't have anymore the 10% discount on three grams purchases! Anyway, the place has been completely renewed and now looks nice and modern. The menu is still interesting, more for the hash in my opinion, and the price stays reasonable. Try their Gardhalla polm for 8euro/gram or their Pakistan Sativa, a nice black hash for 8.5euro/gram. About weed, Sneuwitje is the best value for money, a good "White Widow"-like weed at 6.5/7 euro per gram, depending on your purchase. Their hazes, Power Haze and Citral haze, are quite good, nothing unique in the taste, but definitely they're both good haze for 9 euro/gram. After all, for its prices this shop remains a little gem hidden in the city center. Worth a visit if you'd like to save some euro! ps: really good outdoor Skunk for just 5 euro/gram.

One of the best choices to smoke good weed and saving money in the city center. Straight behind the Spui, in the heart of Amsterdam, you can find this little cozy shop and its great selection of weed and hash. G13 at 13e/gram, Amnesia Haze and Super Silver Haze (the best!) at 11e/gram, AK-47 and Chocolope at 9e/gram, and one of the best White Widow I've ever smoked at 7e/gram. Hash is really good too, try their Tbizla at 8e/gram, or caramello, or Nepalese, both at 10e/gram. And if you buy three grams, you'll have 10% discount on your purchase. The shop is not really nice itself, but the weed has great prices and the staff is really kind, I bought 2grams of SSHaze and the guy who works there offered me one packet of smoking papers and a black coffee.

I went looking for Extreme and actually walked right past it, twice! You need to look for the blue neon coffeeshop sign that is at ankle level, then go through the door down a few steps into this small basement shop, there is a long cushioned bench seat to the right as you walk in, past this are 2 internet computers then another comfy L shaped seating area, the dealers/bar area is on the left and at the beginning of this is a large display cabinet that is covered with a blanket, when you ask to see the menu the blanket is pulled back to reveal the merchandise, I was packing a fair bit of green so went for 1.8gms of the Xtreme Special, a pollum, it was pickable and tasted great with a lovely warming high, they also had all the usual weeds plus a very large selection of pre rolled, a middle aged Dutchie was in there on a couple of occasions buying pre rolled Crystal joints and he appeared to be completely wasted, on the last day of the trip I went in and got 5gms of a hash called Ketama to bring back to Blighty, damn cheap at only 15euros, it was the cheapest hash they had and I would describe it as a superior Soap Bar, just show it a flame then it crumbles wonderfully well. At 15euros for 5gms it's worth trying to sneak some back! Top place, a new favourite.

It's a small, friendly place. Staff are very informative. The menu is impressive. Great tunes and try the Dynamite! Free internet access and comfy seating.

I got some "Crystal" and "Dynamite" both of which good looking crystallized buds, few hairs however, and quite honestly did smokes a bit harsh out of the pipes they offered, and rather bland taste, but only 6 euros a gram you cannot go wrong with the high of the weed. Amazing price and the weed was way better than I expected from this lower-level off-set lowly looking place. I would actually go out of my way to stock up on multiple grams here if you like rolling quality blunts or joints as I did.

Friendly staff who were willing to help out a tourist with directions and advice when asked questions about Amsterdam. They were also willing to listen to my attempts to speak Dutch.

Friendly vibes and a wide menu to satisfy most tastes. I had the AK 47, the Dynamite and the Crystal, all decent, but my favourite from here was the White Widow - all in all better value than other places in the centre at around 2.7g for 15e.

Friendly staff and a reasonable selection. Nothing to write home about. If you are a real connoisseur then I recommend the Volcano Vaporizer at Extreme for any of the Grey Area's fine weeds. The high from the Vaporizer is stratospheric, it resembles the first stages of a mushroom trip. Don't mix with tobacco unless you're a fucking moron who likes lung cancer and the other 4000 disgusting chemicals in the smoke.
