ACD facebook page

Post by spliffy360 »

Didnt really know where to put this post, Is the acd facebook page related to this page at all?. There seems to be a different breed of smoker on here, on there they seem like wannabees. Who can roll the fastest joint etc and smoke the most, with endless repeated questions. Just seems a shame that they think they are real smokers but dont want to research there stuff. Is life getting that lazy that you want fellow stoners to search your flights and accommodation for you then tell you which shops to go to and where to get breakfast!!!! i know some info helps which can all be found on this site. So is this site related to the facebook page? if so i think some links to this site would be advised! sunday rant over, peace people

shitty page just full of useless memes and ppl asking the same question, and then we have the hangaround gang on there that gets offended if u criticise the wrong shops. I would leave that Tracksuit ninja site for its own fate, just a bunch of hypocrites and if theres some useful info gets posted it just get buried in the other useless posts :)

Good question - the FB site does mention this forum and is moderated\run\owned? by Johnny Boner (aka Boner) - who was one of the main mods on here until he left - just short of 10000 posts. I got the impression he was fed up with the members on this Forum asking infantile questions all the time, so I cannot understand why he mods\runs a Facebook site doing exactly the same. Is Boner stealing the Forum from Lemming? There are a handful of active "ex-forum" posters eg Luvtick, Bonglord etc posting daily on FB. Why have they stopped posting on here? Does anybody know whats going on?

This answers the question I was asking here.

I know what you mean about cliques. I have made myself unpopular with a few people in the past because I've tried to treat everybody equally. Some would like to make this into an exclusive club but I believe that the long term health of the forum is better served by keeping it open.

Keep it up, Lemming! No need for elitist circles or cliques even though 'it's human, all too human'  .
Asking the same questions over and over again is a problem of forums in general in my humble opinion. Either people are too lazy, stupid, or ignorant to do a search, or all together(like if the internet only existed since a couple of months. Just think about smartphones and stuff). I think you can only be patient. By the way I have nothing to do with social media but I think as Spidergawd pointed out in the other thread it's just a different approach and of course has its right to exist!

It's easier to identify people on Facebook than here, people give way too much away in the Facebook postings (sometimes here as well). As a resource the FB page doesn't compare with this site.

Absolutely. Cyberspace is plenty big enough for everyone.

I was only slightly concerned that I was being held responsible for something that I have no control over. Now I know that Boner is in charge over there I know it's in good hands.

Very interesting to read this thread.
I'm part of the group over there but getting sick of their fawning over one particular person and his shop. If you insult it, it's like you're a big traitor.
I've not been banned yet but suspect I will be soon as, like some of you, keep telling them to look at Google when they want info.

It strikes me as a group of kids. Glad I don't appear to be alone in that thought.
