They're on hols ^^ apparently - so yes they're fucking closed

i hope so but i aint to sure,the brother without the dreads has recently been on holiday(home to suriname) for about a month i think,i dont think they have ever closed in years gone by for holiday a coffeeshop makes too much money to close for holidays
a rasta woman was outside on sunday trying to phone leo but couldnt get a reply
i know the police have been to the shop couple times recently i hope its nothing to do with them!
as off today they were still closed i will keep you updated if i can!

everyone needs a holiday sometimes. even coffeeshops. im sure this is the case. if its not open this time enxt month then id start to be concerned. im sure news of a highprofile bust like basjoe would have made it here. basjoe is a reputible shop that makes alot of money.the owners are to smart to risk their shop getting busted. this isn't coffeshop blackstar or double reggae we're talking about.

If this was a planned closing, wouldn't there have been some kind of notice? You'd think that they would at least put a note on the door letting people know they'd be gone and when they'd return.

I think this looks pretty bad. I didn't really enjoy my time at Basjoes, but news of any coffeeshop having a problem is bad news. I run a business in the USA, and I wouldn't think of taking a vacation and closing the business temporarily without at the very least putting a notice on the door letting people know when I'd return.

That's a good point. You'd think they'd at least tape up a piece of paper that says, "Closed for Holiday - Reopen on Oct. 6" or something like that.

I mean...even my local Chinese Take-out place does it!

Please don't take offence, but that is a very American way of looking at customer service. I would argue that most Dutch and nearly all Amsterdam-ers couldn't even spell 'customer service'!

Oh my god, what the hell are you guys talking about, Please tell me that Basjoes will be open in November. I have been there before and would be sick if its closed down and something has happened to the nice guys who work there, any update on this or is it just people freaking out
