Yeah, all three strains I bought from here were rock hard and crumbly the next day. They were in three seperate zip-lock bags kept in the same place as always. What gives? Still smoked ok effects wise, but the taste had changed heaps.

Also, I don't like the interior of the place. Super modern, computer monitors set into the counter, lots of grey and black granite. Not my thing I'm afraid, had a cheesey nightclub kind of vibe.

So I don't think I'll go back, although I walk past it most days might pop in again in the future if someone can give me a really really good reason to..

lol...when they decide where to send the buds, they probably laugh and say
something like...yeah send those "so-so" ones to the Haarlemstraat shop,
the "average" to the Daampkring and Tweede Kamer, and those killer nugs
to Bij. Or something like that. That is what I think.

I mean if you really want some high quality bud, the best way is to know a
few locals that like to smoke quality herb. The ones that I know grow their
own, but they also buy since they like variety.

And Bij, is one of the shops that I have heard carries some good stuff.

Obviously there are many other local spots, but if you take the time and
travel outside the tourist area, the vibe in the shops and the bud/hash will
give you a much better experience.

I like to buy in places like this and then come back to the tourist area
and hang out in a Hostel. The atmosphere is more layed back,
and since I only smoke cannabis pure, the one I usually like to chill at
allows to smoke as much herb as I want.

...plus the girls working there are quite nice, and enjoy taking a toke
or two once in a while.

Inside the tourist coffeeshops it is difficult to kick back completely, where
as in a place that allows you to smoke cannabis, but does not sell it, it is
a much more "relaxed" atmosphere that I seem to enjoy a lot more.

Lazaris, thanks for the heads up, I had never heard of this place.

Might be worth a trip out West to check it out, as well as Boerejongens.

I totally agree about local coffeeshops on price & quality, De Graal & Club Media are 2 good examples where quality is top notch, with prices noticeably less than in Centrum cs's.

DRR...Bij and Boerejongens seem to have the same owners, and also
get their herb/hash from the Dampkring crew. This is just what I heard,
not a fact or anything.

De Graal & Club Media will have to check out while I am in Amsterdam.

Part of the plan this time for me is to post some back to the UK, so as well as exploring the Western side of the city, it's strictly business too - Dampkring quality buds at discounted prices appeal to me on that basis!

Do check out some of the Oud Zuid shops, Katsu is another standout.

DRR...I am glad I could be of some help to you. For business purposes
with a little searching you can find local growers that will sell you some
bud at a very attractive price.

Obviously this will take some time to find them, but it will be worth it
once you find these fine folks

But, as a start, places that have low prices and good quality are a good
start and can get that cash flow going.

Maybe over time I will get acquainted with locals growing good weed, but for now I'll check out Bij/Boerejongens as you suggest.

We didnt stop in here as there was not enough room for the 11/12 of us, but the Riffman Habibi hash was something else. Was the only smoke i bought twice. It was 15 euros a gram, but boy was it tasty and oh so oily. Put it in your pocket and it sticks to the baggie with all the oiliness. Very very good.

Place was absolutely crowded when I went in the first time last week. Didn't stay, but I have enjoyed the second floor in the past. Try the Laughing Buddha and Melana Cream.

There cheese & tibizla hash is good,10 & 11 euros respectively! & it was my 1st purchases on this years trip,A nice double purchase .

both 7.5 euros well white russian still nice but no immense high like before (6 out of 10) bublegum was better lovely taste(7 out of 10) they have nyc diesel back on menu 9.5 euros was ok nothing like years ago or hunters one (5 out of 10) not impressed with nycd
