Always make a point of visiting this place, nice vibes (even with the random music  ). Really enjoy the downstairs seats sooo comfy!

Smokes are ok (I always go for white dolphin) and the cakes always seem to hit the spot (but i hate spilling all the 100's and 1000's everywhere!

This place is my number ONE choice to go and chill! We made the trip here after going to the Pancake Bakery on Prinsengracht. We needed a nice stroll after filling our faces with a lovely Pancake.

Hubby spotted the place immediately. Went in ordered 1g of White Dolphin for 10 Euros. Got a couple of drinks and headed downstairs.

Whoa - What an amazing place. Got a seat in one of the corner seats with a heater burning down on us.

The weed was a nice mellow smoke, worked well with the old skool reggae they were playing, along with the comfy seating, I was in ultra HEAVEN! This place has knocked Abraxas off its Number One spot (See my review of Abraxas for more Info).

This is my new chillout place. On my next visit to Amsterdam in September, this will be the place to go.

Well done The Dolphins!!! :D :D :D :D

Had some blue dolphin i think it was called..good stuff..went here twice 2008-2009...but the northern lights was good here and i smoked over a hundred strains in 2008..over 20 stains in 2009.. Northern lights probably the best i smoked in amsterdam ..

Going underground...

Post by johnnyneuro »

Went on a Thursday morning and had the place to myself for a while. The smoking room is downstairs, which doesn't give you a great view outside. Staff were very friendly.

It's closeness to Leidesplein means it seems to attract American students who like to talk loudly about where and when they "first smoked pot" (behind the frat house with their ex - seems to be the most common, but unimaginative time and place). But I'm probably just showing my age by winging.

When I was in the dam last summer, I split off from my group when they went to the history museum (already seen it). I started walking north and stumbled upon this place by accident. I must've caught it on a slow day because there was maybe 4 other people in there in addition to the bartender.

The shop has a calming atmosphere; it's almost like a bubble from the outside busy street. The staff was friendly and I stayed and smoked a joint solo. Didn't stay for long but would come back.

Seems to me this isn't a review, but just an opportunity to take a shot at Americans. Did you buy any smoke? How were the drinks? Maybe their were some loud PEOPLE there and you didn't enjoy the experience, but because they were American, that one time you were there, does not make this a place that attracts loud Americans.
Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?

Sorry, but the second half of his post had nothing to do with reviewing a coffeeshop and had everything to do with taking a cheap shot at Americans. In my opinion it was completely unwarranted and shows a complete lack of class. I call a spade a spade it is what it is. Sorry if you're easily offended by a little word like prick. Pretty harmless word in my book.

You never seem to understand the point put to you SD. The Fact of the matter is, you didn't just disagree with the opinion of the poster ( which ZBeebs did, and was entitled to do ) You felt the need to sling on a wee insult/cheap shot just for the hell of it!
Hence the reason I made sure you were aware of the Golden Rule ( actually, the only rule of this forum  )

Wether I find any of the shite you post offensive is niether here nor there.
I think Im done now. In my opinion, you just made my personal ignore list, its quite draining trying to get through to you.
Have a nice day, I'm off to my bed. Feel free to go back to humping Sir Niall's leg if you want, he appears to have more of a tolerance.

I'm off to go search for posts where someone called someone else a dirty word so I can show them to the golden rule and be a good little boy just like you. I always wanted to be a christian do gooder. Thanks for showing me the light. Fucking gay ass golden rule. Blow me motherbitches.

TBH it was about reviewing the shop and its clientel i'm sure if it was full of loud Irish,Scottish,English or any other nationality then he would have said the same about them.I don't understand why you always have to go on the defensive.

I dont have a problem with any nationality but if I was writing a review of a coffeeshop and the biggest thing that stuck out was some loud Americans I would write it and think nothing of it much like if the coffeeshop was full of drunk Brits I'd moan about them as well.
